The Lt. is illegal, too many gifts. Squads and vehicles are way too tricked out, IMO.

I used a list similar to this, and it gets owned. Mnemoch is right, watch the points on Lt. And your squads are not numerous enough to withstand any kind of firepower, nor are they really all thet when they get to HTH. My Emp. children had the same problem. The model cost is way to high to really invest in lots of upgrades. Putting the mark on vehicles is expensive and rearly worth it, espescially with this looking like a 1000 point list. Other armies (can you say eldar) will have enough ap and high strength weapons to to cripple you early on. Anyway ... the upgrades should mostly be reserved for the DP and Lt, and go light on pretty much everything else. With maybe one upgrade for vehicles(like mutated hull). If you remove all the upgrades from your three vehicles(including the not so usefull indirect IMO) you could add another squad of marines which would be much more in line with being able to deal with the forecs you will likely encounter, and would allow you to take some casualties and not be crippled by them. The key is to keep the model count high enough to be able to take casualties and still fight back. If you have less than 30 models in your army you begin with an uphill battle. Maybe also think about dropping one pred entirley for a 4th squad of marines. That would put you at 2 lords, 24 marines, a pred, and a defiler. 28 isnt too shabby for chaos at 1000 points.

Just food for thought. If you have fun with this list then do what feels right. If my experiences can help overcome some challenges, then great.

Here is the way I run My Emp children:

DP with stature, speed and the rest of the little goodies, doom siren
Lt with speed, str, and lightning claws, doom siren

8 marines w sonic blaster, Blastmaster, champ with PW+str
9 daemonettes
9 daemonettes

8 posessed with no upgrades!(ie only +1str and 5+ invul from being posessed) with CCW. champ with PF
8 havocs with 4 auto cannons champ with PF (since they always seem to get charged by pesky orcs, infiltrating space wolf scouts with pf and pw,deepstriking dreads and termies, etc)

at 1750 I add a Predator w/ tw LC and HB spons(tho in reality the way I use it it would be better off with LC as it really just takes out heavy armor and high save infantry)
and a dread with TW LC and upgraded armor.

The list really performs well at 1750 and above, and does good at 1500 also. It has taken down the 6 dreds of doom marine list, has taken on orks, and Khorne very well). Lost pretty badly to a Nidzilla list with stealers and gaunts as support. (at 1500 where the only long range weapons to take fexes are autocannons and blastmaster which don't negate saves).

I agree with Mephistoles, this is a small army and will get shot up quite easily. Take a moment to think about what you have on your daemon prince:

1) A daemon prince can't have infiltrate or a bolt pistol (in the daemonic stature entry in the Chaos codex there's a list of what you can, and cannot have). That's 15 saved points for your characters.

2) The power weapon on your daemon prince confuses me. Why take a power weapon when you already ignore armour saves in close combat and can just take a normal close combat weapon instead. That saves another 14 points.

With these points for your character, you might as well just buy a Dark Blade for your character (this will give him that instant-death causing str 9 off the charge with furious charge, although, str 8 is enough for most things, that furious charge is only going to help you by giving you +1 Initiative, consider dropping the furious charge in favor of daemonic aura) and with the extra 4 points left buy a simple close combat weapon for your daemon prince and spend another 1 on frags just in case and do whatever you want with the other 2 points.

And don't forget to watch the points on your lieutenant.

If you'd really like to do an army in this style, I'd recommend using the Alpha Legion rules which would cut down on your points. Also, I think that one veteran skill is plenty and your marines benefit from MoCU more than FC. Long story short, I'd aim for 40 odd infiltrating bolter marines at least in a list at this point value.
