Nearly every member of this legion has been grievously injured.  Indeed it is considered a right of passage to lose a limb to exploding plasma.  They favour the tactics of confusion.  When their enemies are in the open scratching their heads the Legion of the Doomed strike.  The foe is pinned and exploding plasma and super heated melta fire does the rest.

The Hammer

Take this with a grain of salt, 'cause I've been drifting away from 40k and am working from memory as far as the Codex goes. (which I assume is C: SM, 4th ed English-language version as printed for North America)

Iron Halo is one thing you can't take, unless they're getting rid of the 0-1 Relic rule for the battle. If you've got the figures, I'd vote for hand-to-hand stuff on these guys - they get an option for Furious Charge and bolt pistol/close combat weapon.

Sucks not to have one with an assault cannon available.

That's a whackload of points for fighty Sergeants in otherwise pretty shooty units...if you own any Scouts with missile launchers or heavy bolters I might suggest including them. I think this setup sucks for a competitive list, but in a Mega Battle could be pretty amusing.

I'm guessing they have the Lightning Claw for looks...that's a really weird way to feild devs. See comments on Scouts.

Definitely not competitive at all, but should be pretty amusing. Considering your post count, if your goal is to have a hearty belly laugh playing a typical mash-up style Mega Battle, I think this fits the ticket. From the irrelevant competetive point of view, it's like you read about what options were considered worst and chose all of them - something for which I can actually see the logic.

Heh heh, yeah that was the idea. To create the most difficult marine army to play with a load out of largely useless options. Also curious to see how many exploding plasma casualties will result. I once had a guard game where I lost 10 plasmaguns in 8 turns.

Try playing with LATD's "Firearms". 24'' - S4 - AP6 - Rapid Fire, Gets Hot!. Also: The highest BS that firearms are ever fired from is a 2.
