Yoor Speeshawl too Gawd!

It looks better than the Seraph but the head is the same crappy one, to bad they used the same sculpter.

That...that looks scary.

I like it. It reminds me of a very twisted looking angel...hence the name Angelius. I have to admit it does look better than the Seraph.

Dragonspawn FTW

6 wings are still a little awkward, but the pose is sooooooo much better than the seraph. Glad to see they kept the head myself, it's the one thing going for its ugly little cousin ...

Just what Hordes needs- something to make seraphs even better in numbers! :|

Rumor is that the Angelus (Buffy, can't we just talk about this) doesn't buff Seraphs at all. Speculation is that it functions in reverse, recieving its own buff from nearby dragonspawn (it's difficult to draw species lines through the dragonspawn.)

My own speculation is that it recieves different kinds of bonuses dependant upon which kind of dragonspawn is put to field beside it. Again, complete speculation. Regardless, we'll know in a few days (some unscrupulous store-owners and their ilk already know!)

Pirate Ship Revenge

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SWEET!
I will have it.
It's way better than I'd feared. I was expecting FUGly. It's pretty neato thoguh. Now as long as the rules are OK...

I have nothing useful to add.

Hrm, interesting. That would differ from the other 2 alphas shown (bronzeback & pureblood) who boost critters of their type.

Yea, looks like the Dire Troll Earthborn will mostly just buff itself too according to a rumor thread on the PP forums. Aside from it's Animus it's only got one ability that boosts one friendly Dire Troll's regeneration (only a little), but only if in base-to-base contact. All its other abilities are self boosting things.

Want me to share the rules ?

After destroying an enemy model it may move up to 3"
It has reach. And an armor piercing attack.
A rng 12 rof 1 pow 10 attack and a melee of P+S 14
Fury 4 Threshold 10

And then the animus.
For a cost of 2 , range self , if a friendly model within 12" of a model with the animus is destroyed, the affected model may make an attack, then animus expires.

Thats about it, rest i cant remember.

High DEF Low ARM for a heavy, really fast, wings, all the usual legion beast things, can't trample or slam, one really poor ranged attack, one weak melee attack, except that it has special attack "Thrust" biggrin.gif

Animus is pretty rubbish, range self, reacts once to friendlies dying nearby.

It moves 3" each time it destroys an enemy model with melee attack.

Seems a little generic, really. I don't play Legion, myself, but I hope it represents the synergy theme of the other Alphas a bit better than just that goofy Animus.

It definitely looks better than the Seraph.  I'm sort of torn on Everblight's models.  I really like about half of them, but then there are a few that I strongly dislike.  They have definitely gotten consistently better though.

At this point the only Hordes faction that doesn't really appeal to me is Skorne.

Although the Seraph is better (turn 2 warlock/warcaster kills ftw) the Angelius is not that bad. With proper positioning that thing can move up to a warlock/warcaster in your opponents turn so that its set up for a kill in your next turn.

Also, Pow 14 "armor piercing" (large base models only get half their armor rating against it) is bloody hard. A Khador warjack gets 11 damage from it on an unboosted average damage roll.

From all the games I've played (I'm a Pressganger) I still consider Legion's units the strongest of em all.
