I can't believe someone built a Leviathan, and actually took it OUT of the house.

That Tank...Battalion? Regiment? Brigade? Cornucopia? Is pretty awesome. I don't think I realized Army Transport made a case with an optional tow-hitch.

No prob, I knew that it was a former winner.

Wow, the sculpting on the wizard is really crisp. I hadn't dreamed they'd look so nice back when the sprues popped up on Warseer months ago! Thanks for the shot- I'm starting to think my mercenaries need some empire wizards :p

You took some good pictures indeed. Thanks for posting them.

The old one is OOP and $50+ to bitz order. It's nice to see an alternative coming out.

Up your nose with a rubber hose.

Cool pics. The armored regiment is badass.

I would have thought the Leviathan to be bigger though especially if the one pictured is "a larger version". Looks like a piece of cake to build since it's mostly Imperial bulkhead bitz, but doesn't look very well armored for the same reason.

Towards the bottom of the picture, I suppose the flatbed trucks are Satyr Prime Movers? Any ideas of what the orange thing is? I wonder if those Argus command/scout cars are conversions or possibly the model hinted about by Forge World... CLICK THE PIC:

The cheval de frise adorned with impaled torsos of space marines is pretty gruesome.

The new wizards look great, but why do they insist on painting fire inside out?!!!

What a bunch of hosers.

Doesn't anyone think that the firewizard looks dorky as hell? The flames are very strange looking and over the top, as are the weapons the aforementioned flames are bursting out of. How is he supposed to wield those anyway? He would stick in the ground every other step.

Oh thank god, I thought I was the only one who realized GW ALWAYS paints flames the wrong way! From the inside out, it should be White->yellow->orange->red->black

There's a reason for the term "white-hot"

My guess, given their loose adherence to real life battalion sized armored formations, is that it's a recovery vehicle. In this case, an armored Adeptus Mechanicus recovery vehicle. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Damn fine pics there Gaargh, that IG army really is awesome. I love how all the chasis are built using Chimera treads/hulls. Most excellent. I presume the chaps that did this were GW employees (present or past)? Conversions and paint jobs all done to a pretty high standard, though I'm not a fan of the Leviathan. Seems almost too big to me and I would have rather seen a scratch built body or at least more scratch build add-ons, gubbins and what nots instead of one made using only Necromunda hive bulkheads and CoD sprues. Still a great conversion, just doesn't meet my personal aesthetics.

It's a hold-over from back when they were just painting flames onto banners and the like, rather than painting physical flames... On a dark background, flames are often painted 'backwards' as it provides a better contrast against the background.

Unfortunately, they seem to have just got used to painting them that way, and it's carried over into all the flames they paint.

That's what I had it  pegged as, Nyar.  Or it's the dedicated Tech-Priest shaggin' waggon.

I disagree on the Leviathan, it just isn't big enough!  With that gun, ammo storage, and the giant engines, there's prolly only room inside for 20-30 guys and 700 skulls, tops.

That being said, the guy still needs to get a "Hero of the Imperium" medal for just assembling that  many tanks.

My fav part of the pic is Gav in the back.  His hairline's as crooked as an Iraqi contractor.

Hey Guys,

I am the nut that actually built the Regiment, and yes I am an ex employee.

The red vehicle is a Hephestas. Basically a Tech Priest vehicle that is used as a mobile workshop. I have VDR rules for it or I use it as a Trojan.

The Argus are old rhino kits mixed with chimera bits and wheels.

The tracked trucks are the Satyr Prime Mover. I originally called it a Centaur but Forege World beat me to it

The Leviathan was built as such because I wanted lots of detail in a little time. The whole regiment was built over 6 months (410 hours).

@Gaaaaaargh

Those pics are awesome by the way. I love the wizard he looks frakkin cool. I didn't get a chance to see much as I was at the table with the Regiment and at my clubs table playing games.

Would love to see more of a close up of the Command/Armored Car. I always had a fascination with the wheeled vehicles

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... Asmodai (my new hero)

Great googly moogly, you built & painted all of that... IN SIX MONTHS?!?!? Holy carp. It's an impressive enough feat as is and all the more awesome given the tight time frame. Good grief and kudos to you.

Sold in GW stores over the birthday weekend (May 26th and 27th, at least in the UK) .

They also supposedly have a gold-plated version to be won by a customer in each store on the day...
