Nice to see another BT player around here.

They aint the best marine list (far from it) however they are a lot of fun.

Just my thoughts on this list (BTW it would be helpful if we knew what types of armies it'd be facing).

Your Vindi is lacking POMS, you should never leave home in a vindi without it. The only way an enemy can stop it from firing is to get a weapon destroyed or vehicle destroyed result. The amount of times my vindi has had almost an entire armies worth of fire power devoted to making sure it couldn't shoot is unbelievable.

The vow that you have chosen I've had limited success with:

Against necrons it's great (you don't need to worry about losing 1 Init when facing necrons and the plus 1 strength helps).

Against marines (any variety) you'll curse it (much better with hit god on a 3+).

Against nids it can go either way. It useful for letting your basic guys hit the big critters but lets all his init 4 guys hit your guys first. Hit god on a 3+ is useful here as well.

Crusader squad 7 looks a bit of a mixed bag. Plasma cannons can be good but only to make an opponent think twice about deepstriking/vieling in LOS. If that's what's worrying you you'd be better with a plasma gun rather than a flamer (good against termies and necrons). Come to think of it you'd be better changing their CCW for bolters as this unit will provide you with a mobile firebase.

How could you save points to do this?

What I'd do is remove the crusader seals from initiates in the LRC squad as I would guess they are running with the Emperors Champ (he comes equipped with Crusader seals and confers the effects to any joined unit). Effectively you are paying 10pts for nothing.

You could also consider dropping the PMSB from all your vehicles and the hunter killer missile from your vindi - PMSB on your vehicles would be good if your facing GEQ armies but otherwise you'll probably be running them as Delivery vehicles which means you'll run them forward 12",  pop smoke then get the quickest assault in possible after that so not a great deal of chance for them to use their SB (except the LRC but it's got enough firepower already.

You may also consider dropping the razorback down to a HB variant as I think its better to keep the squad and the tank at roughly the same range and as your already ok in the anti tank dept (2 ass sqds with melta boms, LRC, Pred anni and MM in crusader sqd - nice I can see where you'll go with this squad) you won't miss it too much. You could also take off the artificer armour from the chappy. I've alsways found his 3+ 4++ save enough.

Just my thoughts on an otherwise sound list.

BTW MY BT regularly face Nids (Nidzilla), Vanilla marines (traits that give them 6 dreads or dev sqds), Lysander wing, Space wolves, 13th company, DH and Necron
That's where I draw my experience from.

Kind of looking for a good general list that can fight fairly well against any opponent.

Thanks for your comments.

I'd start by dropping the Artificer armor on the Chaplain, it's not worth the points. I like the LRC squad, but I'd advise against the Rhino/Razorback-based squads. LRCs or footsloggers generally work better. Crusader squads should be set up one of two ways: either with a Powerfist and a multi-melta, max initiates (plus 4-8 neos if possible) for close combat, or 6 initiates with bolters, plasmagun, and Lascannon or ML for minmax fire support. Multimeltas are useless, since they are stand and shoot, so their effective range is the same as a standard melta, and w/o the extra armor pen die you're better off using other heavy weapons. I've never used a plasma, cannon, but it may be worth a shot. Crusader seals are usually a waste, especially for mechanized squads, Bartius has the right of it on that subject. I'd suggest keeping your Assault Squads at 8 members strong in order to get them across the field with enough strength to matter, 5 seems awfully easy to kill and they will attract a lot of fire. I also agree with Bartius on POTMS for the Vindicator, it's a must. Also, I'd skip the pintle-mounted Storm Bolter on the Predator, there are probably other items more worth the points (like maybe a Holy Orb for the Chappy). Good luck with the BT!
