Hey there,

I have been trying to assemble my plastic Carnifex and have come to a hitch at its torso. It consists of three pieces; its two chest parts and its back. The two chest parts fit together fine as the Main Armour plate the sits on top of the three (Above its head) fits. The back piece also sits okayish but it lifts at the back and the pipes align but don't press together at the top. I have been filing away at the internal joining surfaces with out damaging external detail but the problem doesn't seem to be going away.

Has anyone built one and had a similar problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Usiel

Yep, the back pipes on the Carnifex just don't sit together perfectly.

I suggest just filling the gaps with Green stuff.

I figured that was the best plan for the pipes but the most trouble I'm having is with the back piece lifting up about 2 mm, above the hips and tail. As I said I have been filing away at the internals but it's not helping. Is this common with this kit too?

Heya, yes, all my Carnies were doing that too out of the box. What I did was put in a small bit of glue where the "lift-up" is, squeezed the parts together then rubber-banded them to hold and left them for 24 hours. Seemed to do the trick for me.

If you need help/ideas for converting the weapons later on, lemme know. I just finished converting my stranglers and venom cannons...I'd be happy to help.

Hi, had the same problem on my carnies! A possible solution, which was recommended is to "cut off the back pipes completely and glue together. Assemble the main parts of the body, then re-attach the complete back pipes and green stuff around tyhe joins at the base." Hope this method works for you

Thanks Lormax

I think I will keep hacking up the insides and try to get the 'lift' as small as possible before rubber banding it together.

Goretooth-Render: As for cutting off the pipes and reattaching them. O_o
Err... I think I'll take my chances with green stuff along the pipes. I'm still kinda new to advanced modelling.

Thanks again for your help, I think I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has gone through Carnifex hell.

Cheers
