Hey guys,

I just finished painting a Chaos Landraider and I applied Rustoleum Painter Touch hi gloss sealer.  Upon applying the sealer I noticed that the sealer has left a large amount of bubbles/flakes on the model.  It looks like tiny rain drops.

I remember that this happened to someone else here and there was an easy solution, not involving a repainting.  So, what can I do to get rid of the drops?

Thanks in advance,

Darrian

Is this a spray sealer you're using here?

If the paint has begun to flake from the overspray, then it's beyond saving. If it's just a problem with the sealer being uneven, just keep hitting it with more sealer (in thin coats) until it evens out.

This should work. I've heard of similiar solutions for people who've had their sprays fog up on them.

If it is bubbling up it is a problem.  Maybe a heavy recoat with the same spray may melt the original coat with its solvent and blend in.  Test on a small area.

Yeah, always spray a test patch. Bottom side of the Raider would have been nice.

I'm not sure what "bubbles/flakes" is. Is it attacking the paint you're spraying it over? Or is the clearcoat just going on unevenly? Sometimes a bad spray nozzle will cause a "spitting" sort of effect. If that's the case, you'll either deal with it, or spray over it with a better nozzle and try to smooth the finish out.
