Contemplating a 40k army to play with friends and maybe go to a GT despite swearing I never would. Looking for a fun list, competitive but not so competitive it takes the fun out of it. Current thinking is GK Grand Master with Term bodyguards. Elites - inquisitor. Troops - squad of 10 GK, one storm troopers, a dreadnought. That comes to about 1100.

Any tips for the others would be appreciated. What are your thoughts on adding some IG to get a few lascannons in there.

just add in some infantry platoons with lascannons. If they're going to be tankhunting, let your GK's kill infantry with psycannons and stuff
