I'm much enamoured of the SST rule-set and I'd love to give Battlefield Evolution a try, but frankly the models are... poor. 28mm modern infantry isn't a problem to find, but the tanks are quite out of scale for 28mm

So, can anyone suggest either -
a) The correct scale for tanks in 28mm, or
b) A good source (and the right scale) for infantry for use with 1/72 scale tanks? (There're a lot of good tank kits out there, but I don't think much of most airfix-type company infantry models)

Thanks in advance

28mm miniatures are a kinda fuzzy scale since almost every manufacturer exaggerates the proportions of the human form to one extent or another. Technically, true 28mm is 1/56 scale, but good luck finding anything in that scale, and even if you did, almost if not all 28mm miniatures would still look over sized.

What you're looking for is 1/48 scale kits, which, provided the 28mm figures aren't *too* out of proportion, look just fine. I think Tamiya is still focused on WW2 era subjects, but Academy does have a range of moderns in that scale. The only "drawback" (and this is rather subjective) is many are quick assembly remote/motorized kits and don't have the same attention to detail as their kits normaly do. This could be a plus, I don't know.

If you're more interested in finding infantry to match 1/72 scale kits, I think you are going to be out of luck as all the 1/72 infantry I've seen are that rubbery Airfix type. Good luck and enjoy!
