Well not really.

I've just been suffering from a lack of interest generally in 40K (but am still loving WHFB) and a generalised apathy to join in discussions. Also huge mounds of long hours at work have meant that posting became a luxury since the start of the year.

 

However in super lurk mode I've still been modding and am posting now to let the old timers know I'm going to be interacting once again and will be more proactive in my modding rather than the behind the scenes fixing of OTT posts.

To the relative youngsters on dakka I've been a member since April 2000 and Mod for the last 3 years.

Any problems give me a PM and I'll endeavor to work to make dakka a shinier, happier place.

Seriously, guys, shape up.  I don't want him posting any more pics of what his thumbs can do ~shudder~.

I wish you'd at least cross-posted that Jessica Alba thing to the OT Zone after locking it!

I've noticed some of Dakka's other veteran posters have also been in lurk mode. I'm glad to see one of them has come back in some capacity. Welcome back.

I'm currently using the Vampire Count army I did the modelling blog on early last year.

Its great because change 1 or 2 characters and the whole feel of the army changes.

I'm currently modelling a Lizardmen army because its small so can be made quickly and runs in all phases of the game.
Then its onto Sylvannian based empire (Regular empire run by vampires) to really go bananas with the modelling.

I've been in a rut for most of the year with painting. Painting individual models and units that I like but without any direction. Time is a factor and motivation. I no longer have the 2 weeks in which to sit down and paint 15-16 hours per day to pump out an army.

40k related- I was going to do eldar but almost all my playing is at tourneys and becaus ethey are so specialised I'd have a hard time using them.
The new chaos plastic sprues looks fantastic and that may get me back to 40k, at least I'd like to do a small force.
And without a full BA codex (and therefore a BA specific sprue) means I will not start my 5th BA force in 18 years)

I read a comment by you on TWF about jobs. So you're actually working 80 hours a week nowadays and doing spinal column surgery??

Not so different then from your ' I'm painting and modelling this army up to top standard in 3 weeks time' routine than is it?
