For all FB and 40K players in Japan willing to come visit warm and sunny Osaka, on Sunday, July 1st, from 9:30 am to 6 pm, there will be a Warhammer Battle Holiday held at the Chuuouku Central Hall .

To get there, take the JR line of your preference to Osaka Station. Change there to the Midosuji Subway line (red) and ride to Shinsaibashi. Change there to the Nagahorisurumi Yokuichi line (light green) and ride one stop to Nagahoribashi (where the light green and brown subway lines cross).

Take exit number six. Once you hit the street, make a 180 degree turn to your left, and walk two blocks.  Turn right at the Sanjo building and walk two more blocks. You'll see the Chuuouku Central Hall in front of you.  Go through the front doors, and then to room 2 (probably.  It'll be the second room on your left right after the doors and will have a white board that says, 'Games Workshop Battle Holiday' in katakana; there also should be a board immediately to your right as you enter that identifies which rooms various events in the hall are using).

FB is the big thing here, so it'd be nice to get some more 40K players to show up.  I think I'm going to be fielding my Witch Hunters force for the first time.

Bookwrack, you should come on up to dreary ole foggy Misawa sometime. We've got 40K (Marines, Eldar, Necrons, Chaos, Demon Hunters, Orks, Tau) and BFG (Imperial, Chaos, Eldar, and Necrons). We're really into BFG right now if your lookin to play some.

I guess I should say your invited to Kyoto. Though I don't know if your duties will be bringing you up north or not.

Are you with the Military? I can imagine there are groups on at least one of the bases in the area. I believe there is a store or two in Tokyo as well, but if you live there, you know how big that damn city is.

If your with the military, check out the Single member programs, or the Non-Appropriated Funds office to see if there are any chartered organizations. You could also post an add up in the post office about it.

I don't have any plans taking me as far north as Misawa, all things considered, it's quite a trek from where I am (although amusingly, I was painting some Necrons ships as I read the message).  I imagine what, it'd be about a six hour ride by bullet train?

Now, if you were inviting me to Kyoto as in old capital Kyoto, that'd be peachy, 'cause that's just an hour away by regular train.

Yeah, I know it's a long trip, but figured I'd extend the invite anyways. I figure it's gotta be a 6 hour ride at best. It takes about 3 and a half hours to get to Tokyo Station from here, and thats about as far south as I've been.
