Don't rely too much on the Raveners (or are you allying with Dark Eldar "Ravagers". . .hehe) and Lictors and stick with the Stealers and there is a pretty mean army to be made.
Basically you stick with:
*a shooty flying Tyrant tooled up pretty hard (Wings, Warpfield, Enhanced Senses, Toxin Sacs, x2 TL Devourers, Toxic Miasma, Implant Attack, Acid Maw). *4 Scuttling Stealer units (8 men each) with Extended Carapace. *2 smallish (12-16 gaunts) Scuttling Spinegaunt units. *1 Lictor *2 Gunfexes *3 Zoanthropes w/ Synapse/Warp Blast *Meiotic Spore mines if you're allowed to take them, otherwise a couple of Bio-Acid Spore Mine clusters. *single Ravener broods fill whatever Fast Attack slots you have left over. *optional Broodlord w/ 6 man Stealer retinue (w/ Extended Carapace).
It's a pretty basic concept:
The Gunfexes and Zoanthropes take on any mobile enemy vehicles while your Scuttling Stealers, Spinegaunts and flying Tyrant surge forward and take out any enemy infantry in close combat. The Spinegaunts stay in front to take any fire from failed target priority tests but then veer off to engage whatever unit is charged by the Lictor (so they get the 3+ to hit bonus).
You can scale down the list for lower point games by taking out a few Stealers and Gaunts (and the Lictor if need be). You can scale the list up for higher point games by adding in a Broodlord and retinue or just adding more stealers and gaunts to the units.
The army's biggest weakness is obviously mech skimmer armies (or really mech armies of any kind) plus any army that packs a whole bunch of AP4 firepower. Against any other army type the potential turn 1 charge (definite turn 2 charge) of 32 Genestealers is pretty nasty.
