I've been working on and off with my High Elves for the past 5 years. I bought them when I just started playing the game, had a terrible experience with it and never touched it again.
Then, suddenly for no apparent reason, I started playing again. I redid all of my paintjobs to give my Elves a spiffy new look, so here there are!

List of Things in my Army (things in bold are finished)

Mounted Prince
Mage
Commander w/ Lionguard
Commander w/ Loremaster
Spearmen(20)
Silver Helms(2 units of 5)
Shadow Warriors(5)
Swordmasters(20)
Tiranoc chariots(2)
Great Eagles(2)
Repeater Bolt Throwers(2) Finished 1

My Test model

Did this silver helm back when I was bored and decided to paint something randomly. I think it's what really got me into the entire game because I realized what an entire army of these could look like, and I was impressed.

I have since finished this model. As well as patched up the Spearman Champion's face, so he doesn't look like he has herpes.

Well done! Your color scheme is not what I would have chosen. That is what I love about this hobby- seeing other designs.
I'd say your technical skills are really good. Your models look good- really good- at tabletop range.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Close up, yes, my models aren't that good. Mainly because I use such exaggerated highlights. Tabletop level though, you're right. It looks much better.

Nice job! Your skill is mad impressive! Yeah, the colors are kinda gay, but, when they are all ranked up they look good, still a lil gay, but that is cool. Though, I would say work on the freehand painting a bit more to get those shield glyphs down. And why did you not putty the horses necks? Over all though, good frickin job! Seriously!

Though to be honest. Pink/Magenta isn't a bad color, and I have no qualms about it. It looks very nice and "gay" is the last thing I think about.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.
