A while ago I started a scratch build demonic steed for a Champion of Nurgle, but put the project on the back burner before it was finished. I documented the procedure while I was working on the project and just recently posted the photos and description on my new modeling & painting blog. xenite.wordpress.com/modeling-project-the-horror-revisited/ I am hoping to get back into this project once Gencon is out of the way, and I have moved to a new apartment. I thought I would post the link here to see if I can get some feedback. Take a look!

That's incredible! It's a stunning sculpt, and I love the comprehensive write-up; it's methodical enough to make it seem like anyone could do it by following the steps. Of course, this is not the case, but I think a good modelling "behind the scenes" article should always make it look easy.

Great finished sculpt, and I really enjoyed the walk-through. Makes me want to try some more in-depth sculpting, rather than just Chaotic 'mutation goo' oozing all over my creations ...
Can I ask, how much did your clay shapers set you back? And where did you get them from? I've seen other fine GS artists use them, and think they might be worth investing in.

Thanks for the comments! I will be posting more about the 'horror' in the not too distant future at that same page. On clay/color shapers. I picked mine up at Blick store in downtown Chicago, but you can get them online from any art store (I recommend getting them in person so you can see the size and the hardness first hand). The aren't too expensive at all really, I can't recall how much I spent on them. Here is a link to some on the blick.com site: http://www.dickblick.com/vendors/colourshapers/Thanks for checking out my site!
