Quite a unique style of painting. It gives all the bugs a very distinct and cel-shaded look. Only question I would have is whether there has been any highlighting done on the red areas, the flash from the camera appears to have washed out a lot of the colours...

Aaron, I dig the 'nids. The terracotta parts are throwing me off, but the rest has a very unique appeal.

The bases are awesome and display board is great, but those big plain areas of black and red really need something. Also the brown is kinda odd.

I never would paint my Nids with this colours. The execution seems quite well and I probably might steal one or two conversion ideas, but the big talons on the Raveners just look odd. Same for the brown stuff whatever it is ment to be. If you don't want to build yourself a fotobox you may want to use good old daylight for the next pics.

They're well-painted. But terracotta, black, and cyan is a questionable colour scheme even in the most favourable circumstances- and not one of those bugs is a cheap Tex-Mex restaurant.
