Maybe this was a dream I had...but didn't someone have some pics of...what I belive were some new VC modles. I want to say they were Strigoi, but I could be wrong. Pretty much looked like anthro-bat things....
Or am I just crazy?

There were some possible strigoi models visible in the back ground of some of the orc pics from GD in the uk.

Yeah, that was on The Warseer. Along with some VC concept art by John Blanche. Rumor is that the VC will lose the explicit five bloodlines, but you'll still be able to build a custom vampire from a selection of powers. So this fella is your new Bat Winged Freak Vampire Formerly Known As Strigoi.
Quite an upgrade over the spastic bodybuilder Strigoi we have now.

At my local Battle Bunker, I've seen the 'Bat-thing', the new mounted Von Caristien Vampire (That's exactly what it called him on the sheet), and plastic grave guard. I was told the bat-thing is not a vampire, it's not a fel-bat, it's a brand new unit the Vampie Counts can get. The exact words the staff told me were "some kinda freaky mutant werebat, not a fel-bat". I'm SOOO excited. That mounted vampire looks so very cool painted up. And plastic grave guard make me giddy. They're very cool, a return to classic VC, with big winged helmets. But they look far grittier and less cartoony than the current metals. ETA: Spring

Crap. I was trying to not buy another Fantasy army, and they have to go and do this.

Here we go - looks like the wait may have been worth it. just like it was with the Wood Elves...
I think these guys will be my second Fantasy army as my painting style fits the undead quite well IMO.

So my winter money goes to Apocalypse and now they are re-releasing my very first army this Spring... This doesn't bode well for my wedding-saving funds.
I am really excited about this release. The vamps look awesome and the Grave Guard are incredible (and plastic!).

I have seen a couple different rumors on this model. The first is that this is Vorag, the Ghould King but supposedly it's been confirmed that all special character in the VC book will be Von Carstein so I'm not sure why they would make a model for it. I could have sworn that I saw a picture of this model with a placard saying Vorag though. Next, everyone thought it was a strigoi in bat form. If it isn't it might make a good one anyway. The most recent rumor (all of this off of Vampirecounts.net btw) is that it is some sort of new unit called a Vargulf. Some sort of flying ogre in power. Or maybe just a new name for giant bats, who knows. Swoop!

As long as they aren't WS 3-4, BS 3, St5, T4, I3-4, W 3, A 3 Ld (undead) like every other ogre sized unit and they just plonked them in to fill a not needed to be filled hole in the VC army list.
These replacing fell bats would be cool because A: I own no fellbats and B: A flying ogre stat unit would own even pegasus knights.

Damn, those things rock...I mean... DAMN!
Not a fan of the batthing whatever it will be, but the grave guard is downright beautiful and the vampire makes me forget all those abominations we had to suck up in 6th edition.
