Ok.  So I'm finally restarting my blood angels army, pretty much from scratch.

Here's what I have painted.

Chaplain
1 Dreadnought
1 Rhino (mostly, it's sitting at about 85% complete)

What I have to paint:

5 Honor Guard marines
10 assault marines*
1 Baal Predator*
1 Rhino*
20 tactical marines
7 Death Company Marines
1 Furioso Dreadnought**

*Needs to be assembled
** Needs to be stripped and repainted.

I am doing a battle-damaged city-fight theme for my BA army.  Urban basing with chipped paint, grime and grit on the feet and armor, bullet impact damage and scrapes on the armor, etc. 

SO that's pretty much it at the moment.  I'm working on getting everything assembled and converted up.   Minor conversions/battle damaging the armor, etc.

I'll post some pictures of the work I've gotten done, and hopefully can get into a routine of sorts.

I know this isn't the army list section, but I'd urge you to load up on Veteran Assault Squads and Honor guards. The new Codex leaves Tactical sqauds almost totally useless.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done with the theme.  I always like to see well weathered marines.

If you are planning to keep a running log of what you're doing and posting things as you finish, you might try asking Yak to move the post over to P&M Blogs ^_^. 

Again, really hoping to see what you've got going ^_^.

I eventually plan on having a much larger force Phryxis, veteran assault squads are finally worth taking now (as opposed to being more expensive assault squads in the elite section of the army). Once I get what I have painted, I plan on picking one up. However I would argue that tactical squads are *far* from useless, and plan on having at least two squads of ten tactical marines in all of my lists. They're the backbone of my army, and have preformed above and beyond in 95% of the games I've played (and over 7 years, that's quite a few)

I'd like to find out if you have a link to how you do your (beautiful) damage effects on your marines. I've followed your work before in the past and would *love* to try and achieve the effects I've seen on your previous work. Do you have a tutorial on how to do it by chance?
