a buddy of mine has a nasty tact for finding out what army is the most broken POS army he can find. i had made a khador list that was built around what models i liked and had... but i am tired having no models left at the end of the game. as soon as i started comming up with potentional ideas as to how to counter his list, he picked a new one. right now his list is the nasty darious turbo steamroller list. i play khador manily, but have lots of menoth sutff. the starter box, a devout, a box of clensers, a box of dilivers, one knights exemplar squad, the exemplar solo, a paldin of the wall, the zelot icon barrer thing, a full sized choir, and all the casters minus the epic ones, and the testiment of meoth.... now then between those two, what is the most broken POS army you have ever come accros. i got lots of khador, so picking up a model hear and there will be fine, and menoth was my first, but is now my second army, so building that up would be fine as well... i do not want to start another army though right now the only idea i got is to wind rush forward, pop feat, and pray that my limmit of 2 morters, and 1 or 2 boosted destroyer shots will kill darious..... warmachine has pushed it over the edge, i was ok with 40k but it is now to the point ware it is so bad that i will REFUSE to play him anymore, in warmachine at least.

his caster is darious he has a centruian an iron clad a lancer the slol gun mage a jouryman caster and a unit of swordknights 8 i think the jourymen caster casts arcane shiled (on the cinturian most often), then hides for the rest of the game, upkeeping it. darious and the jacks run forward everyturn, darious towes the ARM 26 centurian in front of him to block LOS..... the when they get to me they eat me alive in CC. if i knock out the movement of a jack gues what... a half jack fixes one box of movement. and if i disable a jack or 2 them BAM FEAT TIME... and allllllllll the jacks including darious and back to PERFECT helath. now then, i coudl handel this if i coudl take the half jacks out of the game (morters could easily) be hay, darious has to be broken and gets to make more little halfjacks if he feals the need to....

Kreoss pop and drop or Sorsha should do the trick.

Its actually a pretty easy answer,..... Greylords, throw the - def thing, hit a jack with 3 of them and its stationary, and centy and ironclad can't do much if they have to sit there. sevy and a full unit of zelots with mono bearer is always fun for 6 or 7 pow 17 hits. sevy and temple flame gaurd do fine as well move the flame gaurd tag them with holy vigil def 17 armor 18 is kinda hard for jacks to deal with even boosting to hit. Iron fangs pike men and demo corp do well agianst them also, basicly the real key is to tie the jacks up and just kick the snot out of darius, He has to use all his focus even turn almost, so arcane shield only puts him at 22 armor a couple nice cma from iron fangs or a couple mortar rounds feat turn and he is dead. I would recomend eyriss though one shot and darius turns to suck.

Darius can only crap out a single halfjack at a time, so he starts with 3 and you kill all three then he won't have three ever again, assuming that you continue to kill them.
At least your Darius player isn't using two Centurions and an Ironclad with Alexia in the background.
/shudder.

right now i run a list built on what models i like. i have allway heard people talking up the mage hunter, so she replaced the man hunter after a game or two, and ive been loving her ever since. my caster is sorcha i got a min sized unit of iron fangs a widowmakers squad the mage hunter 2 winter guard morter crews a juggernaut and a destroyer. my orgional plan was to rush sorcha forward, pop feat and drop 2 morters and a destroyer on darious. next turn, cast tempest on centaurian and try to get darious in AOE for knockdown, then try to finish him off with another 2 morters, and destroyer, all the while moving the mage hunter around to try and get her no focous shot into darious in case all else fails, the whole problem with this is the sword knights (my plan is to move my iron fangs to pose as an annoyance unit for them, while the widomakers pop a few), his gun mage solo (i have no cluse what it dose, or how to counter, but would think of somehting after game one), and i would need to get sooooo close to darious in order to get him with feat, and tempest which if it fails then its by by caster as the centruian charges her with a boosted lance attack. the fact that he can get an effictive charge range of i think 14 inches with that centurian is just nasty, and i do this one time, guse ware those sword knights are gonna go.... now my widowmakers, and iron fangs will still pose a pontional threat to them, but it would take 2 to 3 turns to knock them out. and if i crap out on my luck and leave darious with one wound, game over. he blows feat, fixes his crazy ammount of boxes, and charges into my line along with the ironclad, centurian and the lancer. i think my plan has some potentional, but as i said before if darious is left with one wound, he will just fix it. and it would be silly to take out any of the other jacks, as the half jacks will just fix a box or two and restore the systems, OR worse yet, he fixes all them. now i do plan on using the knock down to my full atvantage and shoot the widowmakers at darious

Well, I'm pretty sure that Darius's halfjacks repair warjacks, and his feat affects warjacks. On his feat turn he himself can repair a warjack, but I don't think halfjacks can fix him, as he's not classified anywhere in his rules as a warjack.
So I hope that helps.

Correct, Darius is a living model, so half-jacks can't repair him. Also, your friend should be putting the Arcane Shield on Darius, not the Centurion. The Centurion doesn't need it, and can get Fortify anyway.
You need to try to knock out his half-jacks, but can't spend all your resources to do it. Mortars and widowmakers are good for taking them out, remember they are essentially 1 wound jacks.
Don't bother going after his jacks, they'll just keep coming back. Go after Darius.
As others have said, the Kreoss pop and drop with a full unit of deliverers beating on him will hurt, if he's not camping FOC. If Darius can't get FOC, he's hurting. Eiryss or Severius' Feat can both put him down. Protect Eiryss until you can get that one shot off on Darius, and she hits him on like a 3+. If your friend doesn't go after her first turn, shame on him. Watch out, because while the GMCA needs a 8+ (6 if he can Aim) to hit Eiryss, one hit should drop her.
Tactically, Darius is susceptible to getting flanked. So, I'd consider going after the swordknights to expose his flank. Also, if he's doing what most do, and running the Lancer over to the side with them, you may want to go after it too. He probably won't Feat just to get it back, and he may not have a half-jack close enough to do any repairs.
You might consider picking up an Ogryn Bokur. His Slam is a special attack, and iirc the latest FAQ/errata says the Centurion is only immune to Power Attack Slams, not other slam effects. In fact, the Seneshal can do his combo-strike too.

What you want is Eyriss, the Cutthroats and some sort of KD effect.
Put big D on his ass, hit him with a disrupter bolt and then unleash a volley of bolts into him.
Infact, the cutthroats should be able to hit him standing up, as long as they are behind him, and then you get that extra d6 damage.

I think his feat only affects damaged/disabled/destroyed warjacks...not like that is anything to sneeze at, but I don't believe he can fix himself with his feat...
