I'm playing in a RTT next month, and this is my first attempt at a tourney-level IG list.  Love to hear comments from the veterans to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.  I'm a little worried about  the number of heavy weapons.  Also, I know that the drop command squads would be more efficient with a fourth plasma gun instead of a medic, but I have reasons for it.

How are you using the halfsquads? Up front, or in reaction?

Number of HW isn't an issue as such if you get full use out of your halfsquads, so back to my first question.

I notice no indirect fire on the basilisks. They will be the only 2 lashammer targets on the table.

About the only thing I really see is that I would drop the Medics and add a 4th plasma gun. If they are deep striking into the enemy lines, a medic isn't going to do much good but two more plasma shots could come in handy.
Not sure what Sandy is referring to re 'halfsquads' and I see that the Bassies are pointed at 125, which I assume includes Indirect Fire.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what you mean regarding "half-squads" either Sandy. I tried to condense the post for space reasons, perhaps that made it a little unclear. Yes, I did include the point cost for Indirect Fire for the bassies, but neglected to list it.

I hear what you're saying about the medics Don Mondo. I wish I could say that I am using them in anticipation of missions without Deep Strike, but the fact is my collection is short 2 Plasma Gunners, and I have two very nicely painted Medics.

Which is a more than adequate reason to include them!!  I've added models/equipment to my army just so I could include a particular model.  Good luck in the tourney!

Halfsquads are all those 5 and 6 man ones. As opposed to the normal 10-man squad.

As for static guard it seems OK though I wouldnt play it (I went mech). What will make or break you is how you use and deliver those halfsquads.

Ahh. Never heard them called that before, thought you were referring to remnant squads and I didn't see any. I believe his intent is to Deep Strike them via Drop Troops if possible. That's about the only way you can get a Special Weapon squad close enough to use the demo charge against any opponent that knows what it is.

This list is VERY similar to my usual list, which has been doing well for me lately. I don't use vet sgts, have one more vet squad and don't have the inquis in there (yet).

I'm actually looking into squeezing in the Inquisitor myself, though I'm going the 3 HB and psycannon route. Maybe it is overboard though, your list is nice and efficient.
