No traits, no assault cannons, but hopefully still able to compete against GT lists. What do you think? pretty good, I would change the 6 man tactical squad sergeant to bolter tho because you most likely will need the range in those units. also IMO you seem to lack anti-infantry so I would go for a predator destructor rather than annihilator, and/or devastators with HB's. Since you only have 1 hq I would like to suggest another that I have found out, demolishes. -Master of Sanctity-SMBike, Pair of Lightning Claws, Artificiours Armor, Terminators Honors this guy can run around alone and own up on a small unit every turn. (toughness 5, and can turbo boos for the 2+ invunerable) that hq could give you some great anti infantry as well. but, GL

I would try and shore up the anti-infantry shooting aspect also. How about replacing the Vindicator with a Predator Destructor. That way a weapon destroyed result won't make your tank impotent. I would also change both rhino squads' assault weapons to flamers. This would also help with anti-infantry and really put the hurt on clumped up units you can shoot after disembarking from the rhino. You could also change the rhino squads lascannon to a missile.
You can save a few points this way to do with however you choose. (HK missiles on rhino's maybe or pintle mounted stormbolters)

I have gone off missiles lately - too many 2+ save Tyranids around.
Why do the 6-man las/plas squads have pistols and CCW?
What role do you envisage for the Dreadnought?

Thanks for the comments. Flamer instead of plasma in the second ten man squad is definitely an option I've considered. I don't have the Destructor painted right now, and probably won't be able to do it for this weekend, but I will definitely be buying and painting one or two (maybe more) in the near future. They're super cheap in DA and Chaos (which I also use), and are just good all around. Another substitution I might consider is a Whirlwind. It's good against stealers, can be a nice anti-assault piece if I drop minefields on objectives or on my own squads, and it can double as a cheap expendable pushback unit. I'm actually tempted by the PMSB on the Rhinos, as it can hurt gaunts and other light infantry, and it's dirt cheap fpr Chaos & DA, but at 10pts it's probably a little too pricey for vanilla. The BP & CCW is just for fun. That's how they're modeled. The dread is intended and move and shoot anti-tank, and as a backup sweeper near the small shooty squads / pred with his DCCW & heavy flamer. If my opponent pods or drops harlies near him, hopefully they either have to target him (instead of a small shooty squad or pred), or they soak some pain. I might drop the heavy flamer though, if I find something else I want, as it's only really great in a podding dread.

The only thing that jumps at me is your Epistolary. If this is a heresy era army, Librarians were really frowned about at that time. So unless this was a Thousand Sons force, i don't see it holding to the fluff that well. Other then that, I see it being a decently effective list.

I would swap the plasma pistols for flame throwers in the assault sqd and swap the heavy flamer on the dread for a missile launcher. This way you still have a sweeper unit and a more focused anti-tank unit.
