I have a 2000 point tourney coming up in February. I played an Ulthwe' themed list at Baltimore and didn't do horrible. I did find some areas I'd like to improve upon: Here's what I'm looking at. Granted, I know this is not the an optimal Eldar build. My main goal posting this list is to hear where I'm seriously going to get into trouble playing against (besides Heavy Flamers on Dreads coming out of Drop Pods )

The army is a bit slow.
If you field lots of Guardians and a Farseer, then add the Avatar.
Let the Guardians move forward in the Avatar's fearless bubble. Eldrad joins them fortuning the Avatar.
What you then need are some skimmers so that your fearless bubble with not get outmaneuvered.
I'd take 2 fully equipped Falcons with Fire Dragons and/or Harlies.
For this, I'd drop the Warwalkers as they are rather vulnerable in tournament setting.
The Vyper is the worst skimmer in the game. Think about dropping them.

hmm, your armor is very light. i dont mean in number either. i cant justify spending points on a vyper like that. 24"=dead vyper, and star engines will allow the last minute objective grabbing but man, 130 points on something i dont want to see battle is rough. i absolutly love the comp of your army though, very similar to what i took to the Ard boyz tourney and if i had the models i would have played 3 falcons with the harlies and the dragons inside. footslogging harlies and dragons have a hard time staying alive with me, especially when my opponents roll for spotting all the time with me.

Overall, the army is a bit slow. I'm still up in the air about Waveserpents, however. Great transports, but they typically will be destroyed by the end of the game and that's an average 145 points per tank I lose that is also not a scoring unit.

Vypers are not a good shooting unit (at least when I'm at the helm). Their sole purpose is to move under cover and just capture objectives by the end of the game. Everytime I let them try to shoot, they are shot down the next turn (regardless of whatever I arm them with. I probably just suck at using them.)

A big lesson I've learned with my army is debating whether to take 1st or 2nd turn. When I field multiple Falcons/Waveserpents/Vypers, I end up never having enough space to hide everything for first turn. In turn, if I get the choice to go 1st or 2nd, I'll take 1st just to get my vehicles moving. Experience has told me I really should be going second. To mitigate this is the type of armylist I'm looking at now. The army can survive the first turn of pounding (typically).

The Warwalkers are a very iffy choice. They are already painted and weapons glued on (stupid on my part). I'm thinking I'll drop one War Walker for another Vibro Cannon. With Eldrad, I can get these set up for very good 1st turn shooting. I've got some folks who really work the Rhino Rush (it's resurgence is suprisingly effective with Sisters and Blood Angels, go figure).

I went with a similar list in Baltimore and I was really impressed with the Avatar and Eldrad. I lost the Avatar one time and never lost Eldrad. My Guardians died like dogs, but that was expected; they fall down against a stiff breeze.

Although I do have them, I've decided against running a 3 Falcon army. Nothing against those who run it as it is highly effective, but I want to go in a different direction.

Thanks for the input.
