Our local gaming club has decided to start a 40k competition in 2008. As I like playing fast armies my eye had first fallen on the Dark Eldar. However, I disliked the models and they seem to be getting a new codex somewhere in 2008, so I decided I did not want to start a Dark Eldar army. The Eldar however have a codex which is only about a year old, I really liked their models and their playstyle seemed to suit my wishes as well. I picked up the Eldar codex and started on a take all comers army list. This is the result:

My questions regarding the army list are the following:
Do you feel the army is lacking punch in any specific area?
I myself was thinking that the list might be a bit low on anti-tank power. Especially AV14 vehicles might be hard to destroy. On the other hand, I do not think I will face huge amounts of AV14 vehicles in any 1500 points game. What do you guys think about this?
Do you think I need Vectored Engines on any of my vehicles?
I have considered taking Vectored Engines on my vehicles, especially on the Wave Serpents as they would prevent my troops from getting entangled on an immobilized result. However I think the Vectored Engines cost too much for what they do so I have left them out. Do you think I have drawn the wrong conclusion here and should I find ditch something so I can include Vectored Engines?

If you can help me out on these questions that would be really great. Any other comments on the army list are ofcourse more than welcome as well.
Thanks in advance,

Your list looks great to me, the only vehicle that could really use the vectored engines would be the banshee's wave serpent.

For anti tank, you can't get much better than three fire prisms. Also your serpents can take side shots to help out.

When you combine Speed and Power you get Lightning.

Thank you for the reply LightningGus.
I too have been thinking about getting the Banshee's Serpent the Vectored Engines upgrade. Do you think it would be smart to drop the Star Engines and one of their Exarch Powers (probably Acrobatic) for the Vectored Engines upgrade? If not, what else would you suggest dropping for it?

I'd drop the Fire Prisms' shuricannons.
This frees enough points to give the Banshee transport vect. engines.
The rest looks good.

All the vehicles would benefit from an Autarch in escalation missions. Give him lance and jetbike and he fills the role of your Banshees. His charge range is better though and he can use IC status to hide between skimmers. Add a reaper launcher and he helps with the mobile shooting theme too.

The saved ~120 pts could be spent for 5 Pathinders. This should have good synergy with doom and add punsh against montrous creatures.
