Subject: New High Elf Chariot Lions as Rough Riders?

Has anyone tried using the Lions in the new High Elf Chariot kit as mounts for IG Rough Riders?
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=List_Models&code=301606&orignav=300988&ParentID=259701&GameNav=13
OK, probably not, as they're rather new, but maybe?
If someone has the kit, what do you think?
Can it be somewhat easily done?
I'd prefer do so some up on Motorcycles, but haven't found any in the right scale yet (and using Marine bikes doesn't seem quite right, though I have seen some fine models doing so!).
Thanks!

It could work, but it would need some alterations. If I had a guard army, I'd want people to look at them and think they spend their free time drilling in the mud and dodging mortar fire. I wouldn't want anyone to think they spend their free time braiding the pretty kitty's hair.

I'm thinking about using Lizardmen Cold Ones for my RRs, all you need to do is add a few packs/bags to make them look more 40k. It ties into the fluff of my army (ran out of rations for horses, found lizards in sewers of the city).

That's my plan, but it's worth looking at the models. The Saurus Cold Ones have lots of Lizardmen glyphs all over them.
I'm waiting till the new Dark Elf Cold Ones come out since they're clean of Aztec iconograhy and look pretty cool from the previews.

You could try the older 'veliciraptor' style Dark Elf cold ones, they came with a plain saddle.

I like the idea of lion riders, but yeah they're a bit 'posh' for so-called rough riders, so I'd rename them as 'Emperor's 21st Heavy Lancers' or similar, with some fluff re how they're an elite bodyguard unit for Imperial VIPs and only occasionally pressed into combat. And give the riders braids too. (Butch manly braids, of course )

I've only seen one image, but the image I say only had a braid coming off of the chin...
Snip it off and greenstuff it into an appropriate looking mane.
It's a COOL idea (I thought of using them in my Chaos 40K, somehow).... but it'll be pricey.
