our two biker bosses would ride with the bikes, and having 2 claws per mob of bikes seems like a good idea. I'm a bit worried that the model count is too low but it would be right in the face of the enemy within a turn (12-18 move on the boyz, 18+ on the bikes for the 3+ save etc)

thoughts?

Need some antitank. 5 rokkits in one unit ain't gonna cut it and I don't think klaws will do it.

Maybe nip some stormboyz and zagstunk for a squad of lootas or a few buggies with guns or something?

my thought was that wazzdakka would augment that with his bike's super gun (see codex to keep details out of the forum)

with how fast the bikers can move they'd probably be capable of assaulting with 2 claws on the 2nd turn against a vehicle.. or either of the characters could peel off to accomplish that specific goal. 5 str 11 attacks against a vehicle from the warboss claw is nothing to sneeze at.

I have thought of trimming zag out and I'm not convinced of the death koptas (especially since I haven't built any.. never really saw the use of them)

it was just a throw together thought.. I'd only have to build like 5 more bikes and the 2 characters to field this.

part of the thought was to deny them any ability to signifigantly use their anti-tank weapons. with zag not being on the board until midgame and the bikes taking the 3+ invuln on their first move it would be tough to score signifigant shooting damage especially if the stormboys are kept hidden.

Just a heads up, there is no str > 10 in WH40k.

The koptas with rokkits look pretty nice to me

I think honestly you want as many dudes on the board as you can to spread casualties and provide more threats. Zag showing up mid-game is going to probably be to an empty field if you're not lucky.

A bunch of Str 9/10 klaws will definitely augment your AT, but you can't count on that neutralizing waveserpents and falcons or hammerheads/devilfish (Just not reliable).

yeah I used to play KOS under the armageddon rules to great success.

never underestimate boyz in truks

its too bad burnas cant take a vehicle anymore.. a real loss. but now that they can all have burnas I could see them laying MANY templates down on some poor MEQ squad and vaporizing it through the number of wounds. (or just assault and even though slower on init they would still all be power wpn attacks)

I like that bikes are cheaper now, but waazdakka is more points than an entire squad of shoota boyz.. so I'm not sold there. not likely to take more than 2 squads of stormboys so I have room for atleast 1 squad of bikes

I'm surprised I don't see them in more lists.. TL str 5 wounds pretty consistently. not as good as deffguns but they can turbo boost and have a nob w/ klaw and bosspole to shore up those darn morale issues

I'd like to see more lists put up to hash out what can be played at 1750
