I like it. I would drop the honor squad and regular squad and add three ass/melta speeders and use the left over points to give two/three of your vet squads power weapons for a little extra punch in combat. Vets get so many attacks to not give them something to help clear out squads locked in combat. The three speeders will give you great mobility and more anti-armor horde goodness. You of course would have to adjust your DC accordingly. This looks like a mech list that could be hard core and tournament worthy.

You're going to kill enemy tanks with krak grenades then?
Can you get a razorback for every squad? an RB with a twinlinked lascannon on every squad and a couple fewer squads would be viable just by virtue of the huge death company and hordes of bodies winning assaults.

The intent isn't to kill tanks easily, but there are 4 melta squads...two of which should get the 18" fast move a turn, and if that doesn't allow me to get close to tanks...I'm doing something wrong. lol
There are also the Baal Predators...but I don't know if I'd use them vs tanks or not.
Longshot:
If I have to, yes...but I don't think I'll have to.
I probably could get a Razorback, but they're very expensive and don't come with OC engines, which is why I didn't bother getting them.
*All* the vehicles I put in, have OC engines. I don't know, I guess I'll have to build it in the spring and see how it does. Right now I've got the Deathwing I'm working on, and I need to finish up my Chaos/Eldar/Tau too. lol They all got a bit of loving lately. And my plans for my DE also need a bit more stuff too...sigh.

Something else to think about is when you total your victory points all those Rhino's would be worth 0pts or are they worth thier normal points. To get full victory points you would have to wipe out the squad so you can be extra reckless with using your Rhino's to block lines of sight or get destroyed. So why even take pintles and extra armor? Just something to think about.

All the Rhinos are worth points if not destroyed or immobilized. They aren't *scoring* units, but that's ok.
The 5 basic troops don't have extra armor, because...I don't care about them.
The 4 Meltagun units do have extra armor, because...I do care about them, and want to be able to drive around popping meltagun shots until I'm dead.
Lastly, I put 2 guns on each vehicle for two reasons:
4 BS4 Bolter shots isn't terrible--they're great for picking off single guys, and having to lose 2 guns before you can get them immobilized makes them more of a threat.
I do want to be able to drive them into the other guys army whenever possible, and if I have a gun left on a mobile rhino--you *have* to blow it up or immobilize it to stop me from getting mass tank shocks into your army.

love this list.
quick question: what do you think of this list as a template for assaulty chaos?
what it would miss is death company (ouch), overcharged engines (ouch, but dealable), and predators (I'm inclined to say meh to that)
What it gets are slightly cheaper rhinos (meh), double demon princes (yay!), oblits (yay!), and daemons (thinking a greater to max out on MCs, sooooo...yay?).
I just wanted to put that out there. I'll craft up a sample list of what I'm talking about in AB (1500 since that's what I mostly play) and see what people think.

Well, how do you mean assaulty? Like...get out and double tap assaulty sorta kinda maybe not really....or run up and hope to assault?
I think you can use it as a means to get troops forward, but I think if you don't bring 60+ marines across the board; every army is going to shoot you dead.
Two oblits = ten marines. 1 DP also = ten marines.
The Blood Angels get 9 free death company in this list, and the cheapest HQ is also the one that best happens to make them uber. You can get some of that value back by bringing Chaos Rhinos...but if you didn't notice, removing the Jump Packs nets you points per squad with the Rhino swap. It's part of the 'sekrit'. lol
I guess I'd have to see it. Alot, and I mean, ALOT of Chaos players think 2-4 Rhinos are adequate for an assault force. It doesn't. This BA list is dangerous because it brings an excessive amount of underused units to the table--which makes them slightly more dangerous than 'useless terrain'.

I've been using a version of rhino rush chaos in a map campaign recently, so I can speak to the effectiveness of it. As long as you don't meet a super-competitive enemy list you'll do alright.
At 2K I go with:
Lord Gribbly (Mark of Khorne, Steed of Khorne, Daemon Weapons)
(He switches out for a Lash Prince in more serious games)
1 Oblit
1 Oblit
1 Oblit
2 5 man Berserker units in Rhinos
1 10 man Death Guard unit in a Rhino
1 10 man Thousand Son unit in a Rhino
2 5 man Noise Marine units in Rhinos, with sonic blasters
2 5 man Possessed squads in Rhinos
Plasma and fists are sprinkled throughout the mass. Sometimes one of the Slaaneshi squads walks. Sometimes the Possessed team up into one squad of 10 and become Khornate.
So a total of 8 Rhinos bringing a total of 50 Marines across the table. Same notion as the Blood Angels list with Oblits subbing for the Baal preds and the generally harder CSM's making up for the lack of Death Co.
Its a decent list. Lots of fun to play. There is a blood angels player who plays something vaguely like what you've got going on here and we've had numerous fairly close games. He uses a Vindicator instead of one of the Baals and he's got a few less squads, also Corbulo makes an appearance.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Tried a 1500 point version of this army this weekend (lost the honor guard and two assault squads, so 6 Rhinos and 3 tanks). Lets just say that rolling 5 1's in a row on your first turn for overcharged engine movement...is bad. And chasing fast skimmers around with your 24 inch range guns is really, really annoying. But the general principle still seems workable, and being able to move 12 and shoot two meltaguns is really effective. Not that it helps much against a falcon, argh.
And...my god...the death company is unbelievable in close combat, but I think everyone already knows that.
