All right, so I found my necrons a day or so ago… and that got me wanting to make a list for them.

I think the usual necron list builds around lots and lots of immortals, or destroyers.

But I wanted to go for the necron VP denial list…. So hear we go.

HQ 1 lord with res orb & chronometron 150

HQ 2 lord with res orb & chronometron 150

Troop 1 20x warriors 360

Troop 2 20x warriors 360

Elite 1 10x flayed ones 180

Elite 2 10x flayed ones 180

Heavy 1 monolith 235

Heavy 2 monolith 235

This puts me at 1850 even

62 necrons at a phase out number of 16…. Your gonna have to kill 46 necrons with 3+ armor saves and TWO WBB rolls….

The 2 lords allow me to operate in 2 blocks for OBJ games. Using the res orb to its full extent, and if need be pulling warriors through the portal on the monolith. Other wise a piratical whip is firing almost every turn.

And if things get to close, then I got my flayed ones with the chronometron lord to handle them….. Getting the charge every turn by pulling them through the monolith…. Come on now, even 2+ save termies will fall to 30 WS4 S4 attacks, and most likely my opponent will be busy shooting the 20 warriors.

A variant of this list replaces the 20 flayed ones with 14 immortals (2 squads of 7). I also drop both of the chronometron’s a give one lord a disruption field (I have 6 points extra)

I kinda like this list just because of the shear firepower the immortals throw out… But with only 7 of them, they are a prime target to remove by killing the whole squad.

Again, the 2 lords allow me to operate in 2 blocks… then again, I could run both of them together… you would never be able to kill me then =P
