Ok, I just started playing Warmachine, and have as of 2 days ago finished assembling and painting the box set for magnus, and the Khador faction army. What I want to do is find a competative 1000 point army list combining these two forces. (or at least make sure its something I can do)

I also have a finished Nomad, and Gorman De Wolfie (sp)

And an unfinished unopened:
Crows Cutthroats
Khador Widowmakers
Khador Juggernaught (I think, not sure since its gift wraped for xmas for me^^)

Any help figuring out a competative playlist would be very helpfull. And as soon as I get a chance I will post pics of my painted models.

If you're just starting, you're not going to want to play a 1000 point game to start. Warmachine is not like 40 or fantasy where the entry point is 1000 points. A 1k WM game is a massive affair. I've been playing for nearly three years now and I've never played more than 750.

So, to start, pick one faction and maybe play just the battlebox. With a solo or two that comes to about 350 points. It will let you get the idea of using 'jacks and managing focus.

For Magnus, use the box and Gorman. Sprinkle Croe's in to taste as you get comfortable with the rules.

Khador I'm less familiar with, but their battlebox is probably the strongest in raw power terms. If you have other new players they will learn to hate your 'jacks. I play Cryx and I hate playing against Khador. Those 'jacks just don't go down. Get those Widomakers put on their bases and you'll start to love them too.

Wroughthammer Rockram is the nam,e of the jack and he is a Rhulic Jack meaning only a Rhulic warcaster can take him Magnus is not Rhulic and therefore you sadly cannot use him. Meaning the jack cant be under his control? In a 1000pt army I could just throw the Merc jack on another warcaster, can Sorcha use it?

Merc warjacks can only be controlled by mercs.

Rhulic warjacks can only be controlled by Rhulic merc warcasters (if I recall correctly).

Ok, well... I might have to return the Rhulic Warjack then.
