Well its Christmas Eve 2007 , My thoughts have turned to presents and what i hope Santa has put in my stocking this year, which in turn lead me to start thinking what model would i like in my stocking next year.
Like many of you i own alot of models, And as a trader i get my hands on alot more than most,i guess i am lucky in that respect (or cursed depending on your veiw of GW models) I usually get my hands on pretty much every model and sprue GW release for FB and 4Ok at some point.Because of that i get my "new model" buzz by buying forgeworld models or from companies like Andrea Minatures which is great.

So i thought what GW model would slap me round the face and make me take notice?

I came up with a 90mm (3 up scale ) Multi part plastic space marine model that is highly customisable and has a more realistic life like scale to it .
I am basicly talking about a model that is really poseable ,talking ball joints or a joint system that means he can be posed like an action figure without showning the working joints ,so for example the joints will be covered with fine corrogated rubber seals or some form of glue on cover ??,give the model loads of options in terms of hands ,weapons ,shoulder pads etc.

Following on from that idea they could do upgrade kits just like normal 40k scale ,so make your 90mm marine into a assault marine or a dev marine or chaplain etc.

I was bought a few of those heros of the imperium poly stone models a few years back and as good as they were , they had kep the same scale and proportions as the normal scale models (i guess they were just regular 3 up models in resin) so everything looked bulky and a bit stupid ,were as if you have seen a brother artemis model from inquisitor they have taken the time to look at how realistic and detailed they could be and making the armour fit the wearer in proportion to his body.

Im just throwing this out to see if it floats, the model im talking about isnt for a game as such its a modelers piece or something for a painted to get his teeth into .

So what do you think , should GW produce a modular large scale marine ?or do you have any ideas to add to this ?would you buy it ?what would you like to see that isnt in the range ?

If GW made 40K 7" action figures I would be down! Those lil statures they made were lame, but a figure w/ 20pts of articulation with various weapon options would be rad! I am not so hot on Space marines, but if they made an Ork boy... mmmm..... would be in 7th Heaven! Would be havin more fun than any 30 year old should be allowed to have with their toys.

i agree, an action type of figure i think would sell well, Alot of the GW fans are movie and sci-fi nuts who usually own some form of nerdy movie related action figure object ,so why shouldnt GW cash in on something similar .
