I was out of the game for nearly 2 years. When I came back my last project, LatD, was no longer a viable army list. So I converted it to a IG force. What's a good IG army without a few tanks...




And my best attempt at a Junior Officer with some boys...



The rust really isn't that red, my photo skills need a little work. I still have the bases to finish on all the foot troops, but overall I think they came out ok.

I love the Hellhound conversion! Could still use them as traitor guard just with Imperial Guard rules. Love the Space Marine head... Very well high lighted.

Also love the Leman Russ looks very nice and chaotic. Infatry look great as well, basing is 50% of the mini too when it comes to apperance. A good base can make a bad model look good, a bad base can make a great model look horrible.

Those tanks are really nice, I love the grungy clack camo scheme, think it works great. I think the rust is pretty good, though I'd like some weathering on the muzzle of that Russ.

The IG troops, however, look a little too plain in my mind. I know it seems like a lot of work but some conversions or even jagged red x's as insignia would go a long way.

I agree that the troops look a little plain (actually very plain since I filed off all the Imperial eagles on the helmets and torsos) and I am trying to decide on a universal marking for all of them. I think I will do one of those chaos stars in blood red on all of there shoulder pads (the ones without the spikey bit). I think red would stand out well against the grey of the armor.

Could use some evil slogans and that type of stuff.

The painting is very good -especially the camo on the tanks. I'm very impressed with the quality of the tank painting. Looks like you have experience as a historical tank painter.

I took these photos at a tourney here in Brisbane last year.

One of the best chaos forces I've ever seen as he's kept it so understated. The use of the chaos star and arrows would be a good crossover to your army.

W_G, that would be the best way. Nothing over the top, but they do need something. I am practicing the look of the chaos star and will add that in blood red somewhere on each fig.
