I´m new at the forums so as usual I have to post the list I´m working on. The list is model based rather than the most effective unit so the units as stated must stay but you can make suggestions for improvement in the wargear/powers and the use or not of exarchs and their powers.

HQ 1: 1X Farseer
Fortune, Mindwar

5X Warlock
Singing Spear
Destructor x3; Enhance x1; Embolden x1

TROOP 1: 10X Guardians
HW plataform with Star Cannon (usual opponent MEQ)

TROOP 2: 6X Dire Avenger
Exarch: BladeStorm + Doublecat

TROOP 3: 6X Dire Avenger
Exarch: BladeStorm + Doublecat

HEAVY 1: 6X Dark Reapers
Exarch: Fast Shot

Total: 860 pts

So what should I take with those 140 pts?

Its a very static army. Farseer plus Warlock retinue is too expensive in small games. I'd add 2 Jetbike squads, 3 Jetbikes with shuricannon = 76 pts. Drop one DR to free some points.

Well as I said it´s mini dependant and until I get the jetbikes or convert some other figure I can´t use bike squads.

I gave it a go today adding some Fire Dragons to the list but they didn´t do anything, a DP resisted 6 melta shots like I was shooting him with water guns sidesteped the FD to kill my farseer that was hiding behind and the consolidated on top of my FD eating them for lunch.

On the bright side the DR worked as intended, blew up a rhino that I was using to deviate shots on a squad that was hiding behind to, and blew up half a Dev squad, wounding the DP so I got half it´s points.

Next time perhaps I´ll use banshees or Harlequins.

Although your build is mini dependent, wuestenfux's point about Warlock retinues in small games is very much correct.

Also, consolidate the DAs to get the relative price of Exarchs down. Splitting fire is useful sometimes, but better shooting bang for your buck and more frequent Torrent of Fire results are more than worth it.

I'd suggest moving those points over to a squad of Warp Spiders and a second full DA unit, whenever you have the cash to pick up more models.
