In Jan's White Dwarf they showed sneaky little bits of whats upcoming throughout the year. They made a comment that there would be new exciting 'hobby' developments and if you look at one of the pictures you may be able to see the new bits.

Just wondering if anyone knows what they're on about or knows of any other 'secret' projects?

As far as my guess is from the picture they're working on some sort of air brush for their own paints, but that's a guess from a few of the rough shapes.

On another discussion I've also seen mentioned that they are looking at making a plastic titan kit....

any ideas?

The air brush thing is coming, apparently it's shaped like a hand flamer. Cool right ? Right....?

I think we might well see a plastic stompa type affir later in the year too.

5th edition will be a pretty big hobby development when people start ripping off shoota arms for slugga arms.

now that's a funny, if upsetting answer! Guess sometimes the truth hurts (from laughing at it anyway!)

If you never put the shoota arms in the first place, no need to rip them off.

Isn't everything they do considered "new" and "exciting"?

I guess that beats phrases like "Hey buttholes! I have some crap I need to huck on you even though it completely screws you over, but hey you'll like it because we tell you too and cause you're an addict".

Honestly, I don't understand why everyone is saying this. If the rumored 5th edition PDF rules are correct, then if even one shoota boy is within 18" of one model in the target squad, then the whole mob of, say, 20, can fire their guns. That's no small potatoes. Sure, suggas are better in close combat; but really, the only difference is they'll get an extra attack. Shoota boyz still have furious charge, and will get 3 of those attacks when they thunder in--nothing to sniff at. Ever since slugga boyz lost their choppas, the difference between them and shootas has further diminished. I'd be really interested to hear exactly why people think shootas will be so inferior to sluggas soon, because from where I'm standing, shootas look like a pretty good deal.

There had been rumors a while ago that with the removal of alot of the old bits that aside from rebundling some of the older bits they would make new bits specificlly for converting, rather than particular models. Maybe its that as well... haven't seen the picture no idea.
