Subject: 5th Edition- Demons good?

Since Lesser Demons count as Troops choices even though they don't take up a FoC slot, they'll be scoring units in 5th Edition right?
Does this make them pretty awesome, or at least usable? A Nurgle Biker army can roll around with an Icon dropping squads of them off at objectives, while soaking up fire with T6 bikes.
At 13 points, they aren't a huge bargain compared to normal CSM's, but compared to the viable Noise Marines that 7 pts per starts to add up pretty quickly, especially in an army with several ~350 point squads at its core.
An army of a Bike Sorcerer, 2 Nurgle Bike Squads and a few Oblits will need to fill out its points pretty much solely with Troops; might Lesser Demons fit the bill?
Too bad Chaos doesn't have that Smurf bikes as troops trait, though.

Well, I could run some numbers for you to help you decide, but according to popular opinion, math doesn't make any difference in 40k, so why bother. So instead, I'll recount a completely unverifiable, anecdotal piece of evidence to leverage my position.
One time, I had 8 Berzerkers charge some blood claws, and all the blood claws were killed. Another time, a squad of Grey Knight Terminators charged my berzerkers in cover, and my Berzerkers killed them all. Another time, my berzerkers got shot before they could reach the enemy, and another time they won me 100 bucks because a guy didn't believe I painted them myself, and he bet against me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again that the new deamons aren't bad. Personally if your going to run biker bomb units I'd take MoT, that way your zooming around will net you a 2+ inv.
as for objective grabbing, I didn't thin daemons could hold objectives, but I don't have a dex in front of me.

Well in 5th, MoT doesn't give the 2+ for biker boost, since it became a cover save. Also, it's a lot of math to do but I don't think the extra 1/6 wounds prevented is as good as +1 T in terms of survivability vs. most weapons. I also don't have the dex in front of me, but I thought Lesser Demons could hold objectives.

Lesser Daemons can indeed hold objectives.

eing able to field more scoring units than your opponent can only be good.Their being fearless is even better.Park a fearless cult squad (berzerkers,1K sons, etc.) with an icon on the objective and then start pumping out units of lesser daemons.Lesser daemons may finally get some respect.

This, at least, is untrue. Against S4 weaponry, they're both exactly the same. Against anything S5 and above, the 2+ inv is better.
