here's an interesting difference between the german and the english Ork Codex:

the englisch Codex says in Grotsnik's entry: any unit in an army including Dok Grotsnik may be upgraded to have Cybork Bodys.

the german 'Dex quotes: the unit Grotsnik is joined to may be upgraded to have cybork bodys.

so, anyone know which one is right?

The English is correct because the company that produces the Codex is English therefore it is less inclined to have the wrong version.

I believe that the translator got the phrasing wrong for the German version. He/she probably read the part saying, "any unit in an army including Doc Grotsnik" to mean that the unit in an army is including Grotsnik, not the army itself.

Even if you wanted to play with the German wording, there is no way that Grotsnik joins a unit until after you've made your army list so essentially all you'd be saying is that he can never upgrade a unit.
