anybody know of some good bits to use for some type of leg armour for my ironguts?

Heat up some plasticard and form it. Thats how i made my necromunda riot shields and they are stellar if i do say so myself.

has anyone ever tried, or knows a link to someone who has tried, giving ironguts like a platemail? trying to think of something for their back and heard it suggested. Idk maybe its carapice look would only appeal to me cause I play nids...
