Tactical issues aside, how have you made them in the past?

Are they all scratch built? Or was there a model for them before?

I used to prefer the second edition mega armored Orks that were pretty much in Orkified terminator armor. For some I still like them better than the current mega armor models.

You know, I'm not seeing them in the US store, though.

I see them in my local stores, but I'd prefer to make mine.

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

Oops, I should clarify. I haven't checked at the local shop,
but rather I was looking at the US Online store.

I'm not seeing them either...

That is a shame because those models have put everythin Seb Perbet has done to shame. I hope they don't draft him for the new models, assuming they are going to plastics...

I assume that because that is what happened to all the old models that went to plastics; they just disappeared one day and we saw sculpts.

I made a mega-armored nob out of a nob body with some plasticard and bolts cut off of choppas and shootas once. Here he is. He's several years old, and I think I could do a much better job now (I got bored armoring his legs so I just chopped one off and replaced it with that weedy-looking bionik one.)
