Just wanted to know if any Space Wolf fans are out there and if they have heard any news as to when we will be some new goodies?

well, all the rumor round-ups for what's comin' down the pipe in '08 has had a mention of the space wolves...
no greens or concepts sighted, so who knows what it will mean for new models...

space wolves have always been my favorite aspect of the 40k universe(vikings in space!!!)...i could use some new minis...a new ragnar is needed stat!!!

I second that jah! I would like to see minis that look closer to the artwork in the codex. Now that I've said that I've jinxed it for everyone. In the new codex the spacewolves will be in suits & ties, carry a breifcase & look like they just stepped out of a courtroom or Wallstreet.

What? Why? You must be thinking of Dark Angels artwork. Get it? I kill myself.
But seriously, I can't wait for the new Space Wolves. I've always loved their concept. But when I tryed to make a SW army I stopped, because I didn't like the models at all. I hope they are as good as the new Black Templars. I really like the Templar's upgrade sprue.

Another space wolves fanatic reporting in. From what Ive heard from the leaks and trickles Ive gotten about 5th ed and whatnot I think that the space wolves are gonna get a good boost with running and whatnot, so footslogging with bloodclaws wont be that bad of a thing. Well Ill catch ya later

I love the background for the Space Wolves, but I never
found a color scheme that I wanted to paint. I know, it's
kind of lame, but I just didn't feel like collecting the army
after the first aborted attempts.

that's the beauty of bein' a painter instead of a gamer...i only have to paint that one inspired mini, instead of 25 very similar minis...

shadow grey and s.w. grey are 2 of my favorite colors anyway, and shadow grey covers really well over black...

it's really a shame when ya look in the original space wolf codex, and see mark gibbons amazin' illustrations of the characters, and then look at a mini who looks like he is doin' jumpin' jacks...ulric is the only mini that has stood the test of time out of the original characters...

they did a good job with logan grimnar back in the last edition of the book, but with the advances in sculptin' and the dynamism of the minis these days, a new ragnar and njal would be killer...

the first plastic sprue in the last edition was cool, but the new style templar and dark angel sprues show what we can look forward to for the space puppies...way more variety in bitz!!! wolf fangs, runes, detailed shoulder pads, wolf cloaks...GW better be readin' this post!!!

Malf I'm really liking my color scheme.

Codex grey over grey priming with yellow shoulder pads and knee pads (over a white base) then brown and gunmetal for details.

Anyway I really, really hope the wolfs don't get a new codex anytime soon. Too, too many MeQ armies out there, and yeah I say that while I work on 2.

Yet another 'Wolf sounding off. Most rumors I have heard are last quarter 08/early 09. There's a decent discussion about it on Bolter & Chainsword.
