I am really thinking seriously about going to Adepticon for the BFG tourney. I am still undecided, but have been thinking about this for months now, atleast since last year when they had their first BFG tourney.

Anyways, I have a couple questions from you folks here.

Before the questions, here is my rough idea that I would like the board to look like:



Since the BFG tourney is 1500 points, I wont be using the cairn class tombship, but everything else after you add in 2 re-rolls equals exactly 1500 points.

The areas in bold yellow will be modelled onto a framed starfield display board, so that you get the effect of the necron symbol. The ships will be placed magnetically inside the symbol's circles.

My first question is, what would you use to model the symbol? I am looking for any good suggestions on this.

The second question is more of a rules question.

I hate the scythe class model for the Necrons, so I am using shroud class ships to represent scythes.

Do you think opponents would raise a raucous if I used shrouds to rep scythes?
