Howdy ya'll, I'm new to dakka dakka and this is my first army list for the new codex that I plan on working with and building. Tell me what you think... (PS I am not new to orks in general, and this is list is supposed to be competitive, so please comment accordingly. Thank you.)

The list looks good from where I'm sitting. I'd trade out the big bombs for a buzz saw in the deffkoptas.... or, if you're unsatisfied with them all together.... take another warboss with a powerfist on a bike. And if you're planning ahead and want to use this is 5th ed, take off the squig... as power fists can't get +1 attack unless they have two powerfists from what I hear..... and it saves you 15 points.

Well the attack squig gives a flat +1 attack so I don't see why new close-combat weapon rules would affect that. Interesting idea on the warboss, but I feel like I'd be lacking in anti-light infantry with just the skorchas. Yeah boys get the job done, but against blender-snatch units like genestealers, it's nice to have some template power to compensate for low init.

From what I've head the power fist doesn't allow you to get +1 attack from anything other than another powerfist..... and anyways, 15 points for one attack.... even a str 10 attack.... should only be taken as a point filler. As far as genestealers are concerned A) They should never catch you unless you want them to, you're WAY faster than they are. B) Not only do you have the skorchas to deal with them, you also have the boom guns, and don't forget the boyz sluggas/ shootas. I think that an extra warboss will serve you much better than a couple of deathkoptas

It reminds me a lot of a list my bud would run for his KOS Orks. It's a dang powerful list, and the boy never lost a tournament game he played with it.
The only real difference from your list was that he used only one heavy support and substituted choices from the elites, like lootas instead.
A lot of people around here have learned the hard way that deth koptas can cause a serious butt whoopin' to happen to their armies. Way good choice there, but I agree with Angron on the saw.

Knee-jerk reaction is that you won't have enough scenery to keep a second bikeboss safe. Then I noticed the 6 trukks, 4 traks, and 3 Boomwagons already clamoring for cover, and really at that point you've already got stuff out in the open. With the right finesse, 2 biker bosses hitting a flank will do as much (if not more) damage than the 6 trukks of boys. It took a few games to snap me out of flat math-hammer and remember just how dead hard T6 is.
You'd lose turbo-boosting scout jetbike objective (for now) grabbers, you'd gain another IC that on a good day can stand toe-to-toe with just about anything else on the table.
I'd say play a few games and figure out which unit better fills any gaps left by the rest of the force. I realize that's approximately zero help. In that case, I'd vote for koptas, but that's just because I'm working on some snazzy models for mine...
List looks great!

Put stikkbombs on the trukks just as insurance - you want to attack enemy in cover because then you're going simo instead of last. I love to see opponents hanging out in cover. Once they all realize that it means I'm attacking simo instead of last, they start being in the open more which means the shooting is more effective.
I'd drop the skorchas off the buggies and put on rokkits instead. You need the anti-armour and you've already got plenty of anti-infantry. I miss my skorcha buggies with this codex, but the rokkit buggies do provide a much needed helper on the anti-armour.

a question for you... do you run the looted wagons up? why the ram? why not go ard case and maybe armor plates?
make them harder to kill...
If you keep them in back for fire support as you run everything else up, you only scatter d6, and that will make their decision what to kill first harder
if you put a big mek in back with them with a KFF... they get the obscured save... and he can move to them and fix the gun if they just destroy the armament... so he can make them a little tougher to kill and be able to bring them back, so they're still a threat, even after they're disarmed...
you've got a very smart list that I will be pondering changing some of my horde to a faster amy
post a battle report if you get a chance, so we can see the weetahdz in akshun...

I changed the list a little, although now I am considering trying battlewagons with deff rollas instead of the boomwagon (and having to take out some skorchas) because they could help shield some trukks and take care of light vehicles/skimmers.
I added another boss because I thought this could add some interesting fluff to my army and allow me to multi-strike or seperately attack with two warbosses.

Yeah now I decided on dropping the boom wagons and going with battle wagons, do you think they could actually do anything, or would they serve most effectively as a shield for my trukks?

As a person who plays against orks frequently I can say that your battlewagons are not your best choice unless your trying to transport something very important, or make your opponent think theres something very important in it. I believe that your list has enough trucks that your battle wagons can't shield them all anyways, so why not just take more firepower and stick with what you have?
