Ones to look out for. I've bought other stuff from GB and they are pretty nice.

Any idea what scale? they're a bit plain for 28mm but if they're something smaller then that's a different story.

There's no info on scale. GB's normal take on 28mm I suspect, but they aren't available yet for sale until Salute '08 - which is in April, so I'll have to wait to find out for definite.
Personally I like the "uncluttered" look myself. I'm not one for overloading my troops - unless there's some sort of reason like trying to portray a Ranger unit that's operating behind enemy lines or such.

A couple of the models don't look bad - the bare-headed one with the big nose looks pretty cool, but otherwise, they look like 1st generation IG to me.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |

Yep, those are the ones I was thinking of. Although, even those look better, generally.

As I actually own several dozen RT-era Guardsmen, I disagree with DBM's astute assessment. The minis above are better. They are generic, sure, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, it leaves room for painting, conversions and modelling by the buyer. Depending on my whims, I could use those same miniatures as cyberpunk corporate security, futuristic USMC or, indeed, Imperial Guard or Planetary Defence Forces. It'd just take different kinds of basing, paint scheme and decals to alter their "feel".
