I think you have a lot of things that are more toys than anything else. The stim injector and iridium armor on the commander for example. I would expect him to just get power fisted or las cannoned to death, you'll either get caught by something faster or get caught out in the open when you roll poorly with the iridium armor. It also makes him super expensive (what is he, like 150 points?)

Not sure about the other comander squad either. Shield drones tend to be more effective than shield generators, and cheaper. If you really want shields, maybe make the Shas'el an 'o with the same loadout (for the BS5) and then make the other two bodyguards an elite squad with Fusion/Plasma and two shield generators. It might be 5 points more expensive but will be much more flexible and useful. Personally I'd go with missiles instead of plasma on the second squad - you just need to get too close to use Fusion effectively, and suits need to stay away, or at least have the option. If your goal is something like deep striking/rear armor hunting then Fusion/Missile is better and cheaper - a Fusion/Missile Shas'el or Monat Team Lead suit with a TA and HWMT is a great deep striking tank hunter.

Not sure about the large Kroot squad. I'd break it into two, and lose the shaper/save (I enjoy rolling dice as much as the next guy but a 6+ save on Kroot has just never seemed worth it...but yes the 8 leadership could be worth keeping). Two squads may also help you in infiltrating, you can infiltrate one squad and keep the other around to act as a guard/speed bump for the broadsides.

Not sure about all the FD, especially on the hammerheads. They shouldn't have that much trouble not being assaulted. The Devilfish obviously eventually need to expose themselves, but you can maneuver your FOF attack to leave very little threatening in the kill zone. Do you fear Orks? Orks should have plenty of rokkits to down an exposed devilfish instead of assaulting it. My gonly guess is you plan on using all four tanks to form a wall and therefore expect them to be vulnerable to assault.

The heavy support seems fine. You probably need the 5 railguns since you have so little plasma.

The main reason I have Fusion/Plasma is to get the most Ap1/2 shots, so I can kill termies. The Shas'o is just something that I have a model I really like for, and want to use it. Damn forgeworld!

I fight a lot of terminators, and the rest of the army lacks a large amount of dedicated heavy infantry killing.

More long range shots sometime will work out better than a few short ranged ones. Terminators in general have an effective range of 24" and can only focus on a single unit at a time. You should be able to use your mobility and massed firepower to deny them the shots that they would like to take.

With that being said I am a firm believer that the fireknife configuration on the suits is the way to go. it will give you the most bang for your buck and also give those suits an effective range of 30" rather than 18" (I am adding 6" due to the jet back rule) with this in mind you are better off with more shots than fewer more powerful ones.

I all my experience I have never seen Fusion blasters on anything other than Piranhas will not be used for the better part of the game and when they are finaly used the unit that shot them tends to die along with what ever was shot.

Other than that it does look like a good solid list. Good luck with it.

I've been running that suit config for a while now, actually, and each time I've managed to kill something insanely high pointed.

I see what your what your saying though, and I'll play test it.

Ugh, I hate Fire Knives to be honest. Sure, they're awesome at what they do, but you've got 5 railguns that'll bust open anything the missle pods would without even trying. I love Helios suits though(FB, PR and MT), especially my Shas'O who has a shield gen. on himself aswell. My Shas'O ends up slaughtering atleast twice his points a game(he's 132) and the inconvenience he causes my opponent is a real game saver. He's always soaking up lascannon fire and the like(that shield gen. has saved me more times than I can count) and that's lascannon fire that isn't being fired at my Railhead or Broadsides. Not to mention when a BS 5 Shas'O is pumping out 3 AP 2 or less shots at 12" whatever is on the receiving end is taking it hard. Then just find some cover to jump behind after he's done.

As for the rest of the list, I don't think it's too bad. Maybe swap the shield gen. on the 'El's unit for TAs and HW a drone controller for some shield drones, or maybe even some gun drones. And please, for the love of the Greater Good, get rid of that Burst Cannon on your Shas'O. Burst Cannons are for Stealth Suits, let's keep it that way. Your Shas'O is basically a tank the way he's fitted anyway, might aswell give him that Fusion Blaster he's been begging for. I know the model is nice, but I'm sure you can work your magic somehow.

Heaven's not a place where you go when you die: it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive, so live for the moment.

So....this is a serious list?

Tau with 4 suits, 3 weak vehicle units, and it's 1850?

My Tau would blow you off the map PDQ.

I run 10 suits (MP and PG), 40 kroot, 2 railheads, 3-5 piranhas, 2 railheads, and 3-5 markerlight teams (half of which are sniper drone teams).

Doesn't take much to reduce what you've got to suits that hide and some broadsides. Any army can do it, because you don't have lots of fire going everywhere and very few things to fire at.

Whaddya do against a horde without real targets for your broadsides? Hope 4 crisis suits can kill 100 guys? 200?

Gotta be a little tough on ya here, but can you afford more models?

Change your kroot to 3 units of 10. Put them in cover, leave them there. Volume of fire kills terminators too. Krootox and shapers are a waste, and that 6+ save is an even bigger waste of points. So are FD's on the railheads, but that has been mentioned already.

I don't see this list being a threat at a tournament either. 5 railguns is scary, but there's no midrange/volume fire to back it up. Kudos for trying something besides a netlist though.

I also think you have way too much gimmicks. I'd drop at least 2 of the XV-88s, and likely all 3. The rail heads will do just fine, though you could give them a disruption pod if you fear going second or getting stunned. I have no idea what FDs are right now.

I'd move you 'el's bodyguards to an elite slot, drop the shields and swap the fusions for missile pods. That will give you more versatility and range, which you are missing IMHO. I'd also split the Kroot into 2 squads for more versatility.

I'm guessing Stelek has the required 1 FCW squad in his list, but it is a good list if you want your troops to die and just pump up the suits so they never miss. Who am I to judge?

Run the list you are comfortable playing, but I think you're going to suffer against hordes, or anything at range.
