This started off as a fluffy list, and I'm trying to make it more competitive.

Small units are not going to work well.
Take two large units of Plague Marines supported by one squad of Raptors. The rest looks good.

I believe he's taking the 7 man squads as an homage to the old sacred numbers. You could always make them 14 man squads and you'd still have the numbers while having the larger squads.

For 5 more points, you can get two oblits.

The vindicator takes one weapon destroyed or immobilized result and is tanked the whole game.

Gotta kill oblits to reduce their abilities.

Standard chaos troops are le suck, they aren't fearless and run like girls.

Run big units of PM. Toss in a few oblits, and a raptor or dp unit (or two DP) and you have a winning army format.
