Right well, I've been looking for an excuse to purchase some war droids for quite a while but I've been at a loss for what to use them as (I'm not a fan of purchasing minis that will never do anything but sit on a shelf when they could be killing Tyranids ).

At first I thought about using them as Ogryns but that just doesn't sit well with me as they look to be too heavily armored and what’s more; Ogryns cant deep strike and as my list is all drop infantry they would be of little use.

After re-reading Appleseed today I was struck with the idea to use them as drop Sentinels, I was just wondering what everyone else thought? My main problem is I think they will be too small as they are IIRC about the size of a crisis suit. A bit on the small side for something with an armour value but then again a Sentinel would be the closest thing to a Landmate I could have in a guard army.

I'm finding myself wanting to grab alot of Pig Iron's stuff as well...

Personally, for what You're suggesting, I don't see why they couldn't be used in place of Sentinels, so long as Your game-mate is cool with it...
