Warboss

Pros: +1 wouns +1 str +1 attack
Cybork Body
Nobs become troops

Cons: 1st turn impotance


Wazdakka

Pros: Dakkacannon
1st turn boost and shoot
warbikes becomes troops

Cons: weaker than bikeboss



For 30 points I think it might be worth his points if he/ or his unit boosts as is able to target a weak tank or side armor with 4 str 8 shots. What do you guys think of running him over a typical bikeboss

I just think the warboss on bike is better.
I know alot of people disagree...but
warboss has str 10, waz has str 8
very important when dealing with landraider/ monolith.
Plus, I'm not sure I would want to give up any of my troop choices for a fast choice. Unless you just really want to bring alot of bikes and buggies (fluff, or not to fluff)
It's cool that he can turbo and shoot, but is the cannon really that great, you get the invul. save of 4+ anyway.
Yeah you might pop a light tank, but I think the warboss can do more damage with his str 10 att. in HtH, troop or vehicle.
Well that's just my thoughts, but if you use him let us know how it works out. I would like to hear.

Wazzdakka doesn't turn bikes into troops. You can just take them as troops if you want. You can still take 6 truck boy squads and three bike squads with Wazz as your HQ selection if you want to.

Dead Horse, yes.

I think they're about equal. The Dakkacannon is incredibly useful. With Wazzdakka's manoeuvreability, it's really difficult for your opponent to avoid side armour shots.

Man I've had the hardest time with this exact same question. it really is amazing how well Phil made wazdakka. He has his differences to the warboss. You can make a case for both of them.

the real decider is... in 5th edition, will you run 5 trukks and a bike unit as troops?

If so, do you want that bike unit to be bikers? or do you want it to be nob bikers?

If 6 trukks is the way to go, then the warboss and nob trukkers is probably the right fit. If you are just going to run 6 trukk boys as your troops, then it seems its just a matter of preference, are you afraid of armor 14 or lots of pie plates from leman russes? Warboss for land raider kill and wazzdakka for leman russ kill probably.

Well my vote is for wazdakka, its a str 10 vs 9 on charge as it can't exceed 10.

Against moving vehicles or skimmers its still 6's to hit, vs 5+ on shooting a twin linked weapon.

Lately I've been up against a damn Land Raider, so for me it's easy, Warboss.
If they know your comming hell keep his Land Raider moving 6", so you only hit on 4+, so if your getting only half of your attacks in, why not make them str 10 att., appose to str. 9. Every str. point helps get the job done.
I would rather pen. with Warboss, then glance with Wazz.
However, if you arn't playing against Land Raiders or Monoliths, then go with Wazz..
