Alright everyone, feel free to tear it apart.

I'm not really looking to make this list some uber-tough, destroy-all-comers list, mostly it's just for fun. I am worried I'm spending too much on the CC-oriented Heroine & Celestians. Mostly they're taken for the Priest (who's able to provide me with Arco-Flaggelents) and, possibly Penitent Engines. If I did take him away, I'd probably make the Palatine & Celestians more shooty and replace the AFs with a Repentia squad and/or Death Cultists.

So, Sisters are a short-ranged shooting army.

CC they are not.

Speed bump they can.

Exorcist > Retributors unless you bring IG with lascannons.

Also Zealots are on the way out as far as being legal to play in tournaments, something to keep in mind.

Inquisitors are fluffy, but suck compared to sisters.

Also, imagifers on anything but seraphim (who get them for free) are a waste.

Stack up on the Sisters, and decide if you want to be foot OR mech. Don't mix the two.

Well alot of players don't start out intending to be a tourney player, and end up there. Since zealots are so-so anyway, figured I'd point that out so if you were building this list you could just get more Sisters instead.

Sisters are badass, btw. Add in some IG if you really want some redemptionist type fools running around for your army flavor. They'll be legal yet for a long time coming.

I understand you don't want a 100% min-maxed list, but your "pure fluff" choices are excessive. Palatine instead of Canoness--why? Imagifers in all your squads--what for? Mixed heavy weapons in the Ret squad--huh?

And putting your meanest squad in the only transport is aksing for trouble. (So is not taking smoke launchers on a transport.)

I'm not disagreeing with you, as I've never played Sisters before and am just going off what minis I have. The problem I see with taking the Repentia out is that I'll be left with one CC unit (the Zealots....which I love and will allow me to use my Redemptionists)...unless I swap out the Repentia, OH Inq, & Dominions for a DH Inq and Deep Striking GK squad? With the upcoming Daemon Codex, that could be fairly effective......right?

Repentia are slow, T3, 4+ save....so they get shot to pieces.

They are also 1 attack I1 in close combat, so they get owned in CC too.

Last, Repentia are not Faithful. So, they suck even more.

Dominions give you two more weapon choices, but require a rhino. You can only fire 2 weapons out of the Rhino, so...

Might as well bring a regular Sisters (troops choice) unit and avoid paying the larger price for the Dominion Special weapons in the first place. 2 special weapons is usually sufficient. Most players run 2 melta, flamer/heavy flamer, or melta/heavy flamer. It really is enough.

You can run the Repentia as your Sister Superiors, since arming them with an eviscerator is pretty common practice.

You cannot make a decent Sisters list with real CC options in it. It's a short range shooty army, it's based almost entirely around that fact. So you shouldn't try, it doesn't work.

a fun thing to do is putting some dominions w/ lots of flamers in an immolator, and then run up to burninate the crap out of the enemy. of course for superior game ability take stelek's advice

So....2000 points is a limit, not a conceptual idea.

Seraphim don't need power weapons.

WH don't need stormtroopers. For *1*, read that again, ONE point more...you get a battle sister. There's just no comparison.

Your inquisitor has move-or-fire and move-and-fire weapons in his retinue. It should be either or, not both.

Your Canoness should never ever ever have a Celestian retinue.

Add battle sisters or elite celestians instead.
