This is probably a stupid question, but I was putting together a big shoota boy out of the new plastic kit and I can't figure out how the ammo bit fits inbetween the big shoota and the left arm that has the rest of the ammo string. I've also seen pictures with ammo all over the backpack. The backpack in the sprue only has ammo down the left side. I'm working on my converting skills and I really like the look of some of the big shootas i've seen. Does anyone have any experience and can help me? Pictures would help a lot too.

Thanks in advance!

if you could post some pics of the problem you are having it would help us a great deal in helping you as well. maybe we could see where the disconnect is occuring.

I think I know what you are talking about. I had the same problem with my first plastic big shoota boy and ended up giving him a different arm and just letting the ammo belt hand down.

I don't know if this will help but what I've done since, to make it work is I've placed the arms before the head and legs, that way they don't stop me from finding the "right" positioning. Because the plastic is a little stretchy if you are carefull, you can twist or pull the ammo belt to make it fit just right. Other than that I would recommend just playing with the positioning of both arms before you glue them.

Hope that was helpfull.

I've really had no problem assembling the big shoota boy. The ammo strip has a small groove on one side, that goes into the hand with the belt feed and the other end goes into the small ammo feed on the big shoota. The empty shell casings go on the other side.

Burna Stompa - very helpful. I'm an idiot, somehow I was looking at it inverted. I kept thinking the grove went on the gun side. Okay.. looks real shooty now. Thanks

you're maybe thinking of the big shoota backpack in the loota sprue, which also has a grot perched on top, happily reloading an ammo belt...

Not a problem, Blue, it confused me a little at first too, then I noticed the groove on the bullets and the notch on the hand. Glad I could help.
