Ditto above, you need Falcons. See Stelek's Uber Bang Bang army of death for an idea. Avatar and Farseer has been used successfully, if controversially. See Blackmoor's recent battle reports to see an Eldar army in action.
At one time Fire Prisms were disparaged, but they actually make a lot of sense if you are going up against heavily armored enemy forces. They make Necron Monoliths much less annoying, same with AV 14 land raiders. Think of it as a layer approach, use your Fire Prism as your long range battleship, get Vypers and arm them with a rapid firing intermediate range weapon, then you finally have your Harlequins or Fire Dragons/Warp Spiders as close in troops.
Super competitive ideas for Eldar may involve reading the Psychic rules very carefully, then spending more money than you have to make a SEER COUNSEL on jetbikes! There are several good threads discussing this.
Another annoying alternative is the Wraithguard Only army. NO, they don't have an invulnerable save, but their toughness makes them very hard to kill.
Maugen Ra is a nice single figure, read the independent character rule carefully.
