Hey fellow Dakkaites!
Just today I discovered that my bottle of "deadly nightshade" is getting worse and worse quality wise and there isn't much left to paint with. The Problem is that my Eldar army is painted in that color but nowhere finished. I figured that the new foundation color "necron abyss" would be similar, but it has a strong violet stinch which isn't acceptable. Sadly the deadly nightshade color didn't make into the "screwing pot"-era so I'm stuck wondering what other color could come close. Any Gw-one? are maybe anything from the "Game-Color"-line?

For anyone not knowing what color "deadly nightshade" is, it's basically a very dark, muted blue. I have "festering blue" and "enchanted blue" in my color line which I use for highlights. Should I just darken them instead?

Any help would be appreciated!

ye, darkening your highlights would give you the best effect, but the color regal blue is pretty dark too, to maybe just mixing it with some black

hey man
I read your plight, so I thought I would see if I could mix up some deadly nightshade.
I put some deadly nightshade on my wet pallette and put necron abyss next to it to see the difference.
I then added a small amount if fenris grey to the necron abyss and blended it, and then brought the colour over to the actual deadly nightshade, and they are identical on the pallette (brought the 2 colours into 1 puddle, and you can't tell where 1 starts and the other ends)

hope this solves your woes

Thanks for all the responses! I will try to get a bottle of the last one, but if it fails, I'll probably mix it. Thanks for the work, deitpike!
