... what is the Bloodthirster armed with? From a count as standpoint, so what weapon actually has rules? Pretty sure he has a ranged attak (12" S7 or something) but is that specifically a whip? And I don't think in 40k he has the axe of D3 wounds, but does he have some special combat weapon?
Thanks to any that have seen the Codex or have some other insight.

He's got one close combat weapon, and he's an MC so it ignores invulnerable saves. You can buy the 12" s7 upgrade if you like. It describes this as using a whip or hurling one of the brass skulls of Khorne, but it's just a shooting attack.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

@ KID -- Clearly I was talking about the "Bloodfiler (of Skulls)" but got confused with the demon 1/8th his size. My bad. @ FKE -- I actually didn't know that greater demons in 40k were customizable past not-really-psychic psychic powers. So looks like I'm in the clear on giving the dude a big chopper and calling it done. He can spit a boiling brass loogie @ S7 if he needs to  Thanks for the help. - Salvage
