Been tons of threads on this, so I apologize about making a new one.."Groan" anywya, here is what I have come up with for mine. I used the Empire pistoliers and had a set of Renegade Miniatures British Lancers that I used for the heads. A bit of Green stuff to try and make the coats longer. Anyway, this is the prototype...

Cut off the raised horse leg sprues, the miniture doesnt need it to stay upright, its sufficiently pinned to the base on two legs.

Those are nice. However i still do not like the idea of infantry using horses in the 4OK millenium.

Fantastic look. Normally I'd agree with Alex that horses are very non-40k, but this guy doesn't look out of place.
I also agree, those sprue bits have to go.
But my particular favorite part is the photography setting. Very nice job giving the whole feel of "being there". Not very often that anybody pulls it off that well.

However I have long had a liking for the imagery of cavalry charging out of the front of a Capitol Imperialis. Which looks very Imperial, if not very practical.
1st edition Epic gave me a thirst for the big stuff.

I normally associate Rough Riders with less "sci-fi" themed forces. I think they'd fit in well with Cadians, Tallarns, etc. Still, there's no reasons why Cadians can't use them also. I like your model, and look forward to seeing more.
