Focused Fire Warrior

Gresham, OR

In a recent match I was playing Tau and on one turn my Devilfish troop transport dropped it's Firewarriors on top of a building (impassable and unenterable) It was not until after i had done this and the devilfish was destroyed that i was told that my troops couldn't get off the building. needless to say i was pissed cuz it was a ranked match...that i lost. So here is my proposed rule/rule alteration

Any unit who occupies impassable terrain such as the roof of a building must take a dangerous terrain test in order to get off. The only exception being among units with special rules stating otherwise.

well let me no what you think. I'm open to suggestions to revisions.

This doesn't seem like a rules issue, but more of a personal one. It helps to establish what is what as far as terrain goes before the game starts. If the terrain was impassable then your troops could not disembark on top of it at all because the very definition of impassable does not allow it. Now, if you were calling it a building you simply use the rules given in the rulebook, which says that the distance rolled on the difficult terrain dice is the distance you can go both horizontally and vertically, allowing between 1" and 6" of vertical movement per turn in a multiple level terrain piece. Again, clarify this with your opponent before the game so you don't end up with situations like this.
